Oh Yeah!

Walk in, discuss with the boss how much he likes the '16 Suburban ltz he just took delivery of, and follow that up with him telling me he eliminated my position due to cost constraints.

My base was 40k, I grew the business 25%+ inside 3 yrs at 40% or higher margin...

Good luck.

One of my buddies had to do that three times before they said no more swimmers. Don't assume the swimmers are gone until they test you.

The weather is wonderful here. We finally have fall. It was 50 degrees outside this morning. Time to start watching super close for the dang deer.

Had mine done 6 months ago and the little pricks are still there. Tired of dropping off the cup of shame to the nurses.

My buddy said on one of his visits he SOOO much wanted to bring in a bottle of liquid soap that he could fill that cup up to the brim and have it overflowing to hand it to the nurse. He decided that maybe it was not really a great idea. But it would be funny!

Telling everyone I know, hoping someone makes an offer on the well sorted and optioned Cayenne S before I actually have to list it. Plan to give it a few days on Craigslist before hitting the normal listing places like autotrader, cars.com, carguru. Won't get the wheels swapped until tomorrow morning. Then would like to get it detailed before I shoot gobs of pictures.

Porsche-poor 09-27-2016 07:09 AM

Jim Richards 09-27-2016 07:59 AM

Pfft, piece of cake.

The doc and I chatted while he worked and I really didn't feel a thing except for the first shot of Novacaine.

Gotta chill on the couch for the rest of the day now.

That is good. From what I understand it is a few hours later that "things" become more uncomfortable. I have no direct experience so I can only relate what I was told by others.

RKDinOKC 09-27-2016 11:12 AM

Hope you can still say that when the local wears off. When I get the eyeball shots and had the eyeball surgeries go right home, dose up on some Tylenol 3, and sleep till the next day. Have tried staying awake, think I'm doing great then the local starts wearing off and the pain starts kicking in. Next day, not so much.

My idea is, No pain, well...no pain!

Got a bag of frozen broccoli on the bits and the wife is picking up my antibiotic and Norco, if I need it. We had to watch a very cheezy video set in the 80's about the procedure. Seriously, the couple got into a Plymouth Horizon with squeaky doors when they left the doctor after the dude's operation.

The doc I had has a unique last name which is the same as a business that seels pools and spas. He confirmed that he is related but that being a doc is NOT his part time gig.

I could feel my wife rolling her eyes, even from the waiting rom because I told her I was going to ask him. :D

Apparently, this procedure is not similar to a woman giving birth.

Just remember right after something like that preventative pain killers work much better than reactive pain killers. That has been my experience when dealing with surgical pain.

Had nurses coming by once a day a debrising a wound. They called when they were headed my way which let me take a pain pill so it had a chance to start taking effect BEFORE they started scraping the wound. It also helped for me to hold something up so I couldn't see what they were doing too. Had 14 inches of colon removed and had a complication caused by a nurse that got fired right after where they had to rip the stitches out an let it heal from the inside out. Was at home with an open wound 10 cm long and 10cm deep. Took a month for it to heal. They had to debris it daily so it would heal back together instead of just scaring over. This was just before they got so excited about people getting hooked on pain killers and the surgeon gave me some kind of oral morphine stuff that was sent out with the nurses doing wound care. That's when I started watching F1, Jerry Springer, and WWE. Those were the only shows that had short commercial breaks so I would not forget what I was watching and change channels.

Porsche-poor 09-27-2016 11:53 AM

No lifting anything heavier than a beer either.

pete3799 09-27-2016 11:57 AM

Remind me not to have broccoli at Wayne's.

How many miles on the Cayenne Richard?

Oh Haha 09-27-2016 12:04 PM

Hey Pete!

No worries, replaced it with a proper ice sack.

flipper35 09-27-2016 12:05 PM

For me it was the second shot. Otherwise there wasn't much to it. Was at my softball game that night but did not play since the doc said to not to. Coached bases though.
