Hot damn, time to order my 918! I received this in my spam box. I guess I will have to rescue it from SPAM. Some FBI agent is trying to contact me. The core if the message:
Eight Million and Five Hundred Thousand United State Dollars ($8,500,000.00) due to past corrupt Governmental Officials who almost held the fund to themselves for their selfish reasons. They are gonna just give it to me because I am such a nice guy. Ain't that great. |
Ha ha ha...Nice guy. That is great!!
The "Counselor" they sent me to for sensitivity training told me today that I am just a nice, outgoing guy that just forgot who I was speaking to when telling the story of what all went on with my foot. And to not worry about it. Ain't THAT great. Kinda wonder about him though. He asked me how I know how to do all the stuff I do without going to college for it. |
Just be glad they sent you to a guy not a chick!
|
Kinda curious what sensitivity training would actually be. Especially after seeing the PC Correct Principal episodes of SouthPark.
Especially glad it isn't a chick counselor if there is even the slightest possibility of making me wear woman's underware, pink tights, frolicking around in a tutu, showing off my hairy armpits, and smoking a cigar. |
Wow. I need mental bleach. Gack.

Too late, Jeff's posted pics in this thread.

The wall is making progress. Now just the border along the sidewalk. We will have plenty of rocks left. Mrs Carrera bought a ton of new plants yesterday. We still need pickup load full of soil. I did haul the old pallet that the rocks were delivered on to the office. It is out front on the curb. It was one HEAVY pallet. I was feeling like a wimp until I took a closer look. The cross-members on the bottom are square blocks and look very sturdy and the main surface is heavier wood than normal. I guess that makes sense because the load it carried was 3.8 tons. All of those 3.8 tons of rock are off loaded and I really think they felt like were 38 tons. You can see the front edge of the wall is wet. I tested the sprinkler system for the yard since it was modified to get the area of the new garden off of the section. We placed concrete blocks along the inside of the wall and drove rebar down into the blocks to add in strength sine the wall is just a dry stack. You can see the Macan and the El Camino in the garage. The 911 is hiding behind the windows. Good Hump day morning all. Phew I need a nap. |
morning all. yesterday was a migraine day so I went home early and slept the day away.

Mertnin...
Went to meetings at the office this morning. Showed up instead of telecommuting. Impression? People spend as much time talking about what they are going to do as doing it. And that is just walking to and from the meetings! The Wall... Did you get any Government funding for that wall or is it all funded by the private sector? Doesn't look it would stop anyone except for the really really really really small Mexicans. |
So Glen, do you play Pink Floyd while building it?

I was thinking John Mellencamp would be wrong.

Your wall needs a redesign then!
|
It is designed to hold a pile of soil and flowers. I think it will do great for that. Plenty of drainage. All we need is a pig ol pile of soil, then add flowers.
|
I think it needs an environmental impact study and permits and then a rezoning.
|
The guy that is the president of our neighborhood association lives right behind us. He has stopped by several times. His first comment was did we pull a permit. I said yep, I pulled it and then threw it away. He is a good dude and was just giving me a hard time. No permit needed and he knows in the end it will only make the house and the neighborhood look better.
|
I hope you didn't ruin the habitat of the Unrun Irish Newt.
|
You have a patriotic duty not to let any Mexican plants get past that wall!
