Our CEO said she likes when people get to the point but then she told me I use too few words even for her. I guess two words of instruction are not enough some times.

Nah, she has been pretty good as CEO and asks intelligent enough questions. I guess I feel people are smart enough I don't need to embellish the instructions with unneeded or superfluous words. IE: If you are waiting in the car outside in the cold and you complain the car is cold I would just say "start it". Not "turn the key to start the car and then turn the heater fan up to get warm".
Though, the guy that works for me would probably have a hard time starting the car so he would get out to check the air in the tires.

For most of my bachelor life my commute was just under one mile. One day when school was out and it was a federal holiday like presidents day or something when banks and the post office are closed I decided to set a new record short time for my morning commute. Half the drive was in my neighborhood.
From key insert to key removal was 55 seconds. ![]() ![]() Now I did prepare some. The night before I backing into the garage so I could just go. I hit the key and I will admit I was maybe a little in excess of the speed limit. This was likely 35 years ago and I was not as smart as I am now. And the statute of limitations has run out. I hit redline in the parking lot nailed the brakes hard and stuck it perfectly into my parking spot.

I have never exceeded the posted limit.
In an airplane. I have never flown an aircraft capable of exceeding 250kts.

One of the local guys here at the airport we use actually bought a MIG. He had to fly down to the Gulf of Mexico to put to the firewall and go over Mach 1. The fuel cost alone was so high he did that a few times and found a museum to donate it to. It was the only way to get rid of it. Ah to be filthy rich. One of the little tiny jets that was used in the James Bond movie where he flew through a hangar in Cuba is just a few hangars down from where we kept the 206.

Gosh I've flown an aircraft capable of exceeding 250kts.
Have flown in commercial airlines, they cruise between 450 and 500kts.

Morning. My dad got to pilot a F-111 and go supersonic. Mostly he flew cargo planes but his buddy was the chief instructor for F111 and he got to fly it.

Good Saturday Morning.
When 13 my brother, 13 years older moved back home for about 6 months. He was between wives. He ran around with his old HS group. They took me with on one of their Saturday nights. They took me to the local stock car races at the OKC Fairgrounds 1/2 mile oval dirt track. One of the girls in the group was sweet on my brother. She was the HS girlfriend then Ex of one of the guys in the group, still lived with him, but was dating the guy that was like 2nd in points with his late model stocker Camaro. Because of her relationship we went early and hung out in the pits only going to the stands to watch the actual race from a better view. While Danny was unloading his car and getting it ready everyone was hanging out drinkin beers. Instead of drinking I helped and got to sit in and start the car and rev it while Danny tweaked the tune and checked things over. It was LOUD! Everyone started talking about me sitting in the car and teasing Danny how he should let me drive for him. My brother and his friends lied and said I drove all the time. Danny started telling me how dirt track racing was different than driving on the street and how it was a lot faster if you let the rear hang out and cross steered around the corners. They kept teasing him until he let me suit up and make some tuning laps in the Camaro. My first two laps were way too slow, I actually used the brakes to go around the corners. There was a radio in the helmet and Danny started telling me to go faster and to flick the wheel to make the rear tires come around then turn the wheel the other way to catch it and keep the car going around the corner. After a couple more laps with some failed attempts and a lot of instructions being yelled at me in the helmet I got the hang of it. Turn what they said was a couple of respectable laps. Did 10 total. When I got back to the pits and out of the car my brother asked how was my first time driving. Danny and the rest looked at him with their mouths agape. The Danny smiled, said I did real good and handed me my first beer. Ended up everyone passing out at my brother's friends place. Dad must of found out and put the kibosh on them because I wasn't asked to hang with them again. Back before my Brother went in the service, him, his buddies, and girlfriends took me lots of places, amusement park, zoo, museums, car shows, planetarium, parks, pools etc.

Golly gee that was a great F1 race. No one would have guessed the podium.
I went to mow and the mower would not start. The module connection was NFG. I had to take apart the top have of the mower panels and covers to get to it to set the gap and fix it. What a pain. Stuff that happens when the mower is 24 years old. I my have to get a new one some year.

My mowers have kept going off to college. This year sadly my mower got cancer. Treatments are pretty rough on him. Help my nephews and nieces kids by paying them to mow my yard. There are only a couple left. None of them have yet to take my advice on making the job easier and quicker. Say La Vee.
The most impressive was the 3 years a neighbor girl mowed my yard. She showed up with a crew of 5 boys all a little younger than herself. She managed them doing all the work. Don't know if it had anything to do with it, but she lived in one of the few houses in my neighborhood with an in-ground pool.

Don't mind mowing myself. Just paying back as there were a lot a people that let me make a lot of monies mowing yards when I was a kid.
Also detailed and waxed a LOT of cars, but nobody seems interested in doing that LOL.

I have had my yard mowed a few times in the years we have been here. When I had my hip replaced and was in recovery I had it cut by the 78 year old "kid" in our neighborhood. He came over and used my mower and gas and did a decent job. He used to cut the neighborhood association grass for some spare cash. He went and died on me. I have had it mowed a few times when I was on vacation so I would not have to bail hay when I got home. The pure commercial guys do an OK job but want 50 bucks a week because of all the edging to do. I have about a 1/4 mile of sidewalk edges to trim. There is a sidewalk down the front of the yard and a sidewalk up against the house all the way around the house. It is real easy to walk around the house and never get in the grass.
I was sure to kiss Mrs. Carrera goodby as I "left" for work this morning. I walked the few feet down the hall in my socks. Right now I am goofing off on line and the boss is gonna get mad so I will have to get busy.
