Sunny and hot and sprinkling here.

Em wants to take the Cobra to school. I said sure, when it isn't raining. Her first day of working today!

Glen, when you are rolling in money you should talk to Paul about automating those flights!

Richard, your luck with Porsche shops is on the negative side of the ledger most days it seems.

How is the weather in the underside?

Just took a shower. So the underside might be a bit damp.

Paul and I have talked several times. He is a super nice guy and I really enjoyed my time at his place. His wife is super and his son is great as well.

His solutions are to problems we don't have. We often fly for 2.5 hours in a Cessna 172. At 110 to 120 MPH average speeds. We are working on a solution to get me out of the airplane and get it back to just the pilot for the mission.

If he quits flying I'd be scared the boss might cut off his beer supply.

Glen all set for this years Parade? I think I'll be passing up this one.

I had great plans to upgrade or get a newer Porsche on top of the one I have but its not looking good for me to do that. Turns out the way dad did things my third will be ties up in IRA's not in liquid form like my other two sibs.

So I'm not driving the 911 across the country just yet.

So, brother Bob drives a 05 Honda Oddity. It is past due for a tranny juice change. Enough so that it has started shifting funny and Honda techs say to change juice. Instead of limiting his activities until he has saved to have it changed, he just keeps speeding money on other stuff and keeps driving it under the guise that he doesn't have enough money to fix it.

You think he is just goin to drive it into the dirt?

PCA tries to do a Parade on one coast, somewhere kinda in the middle of the country and one on the west coast. From what I heard through unofficial channels is Parade is gonna be a LONG way from you next year. The 2019 Parade is Boca Raton, Florida. Basically a Miami suburb. It will work out good for me if it is true. I can just go "down the road a bit" to Key West and be at the most Southern point. I have been to Freedom Park in San Diego which is at the border with Mexico. I made it to within 30 miles of the most Easterly point in the USA in Main. I would have made it to Cape Flattery last year but life got in the way. Somehow having no job just did not make for a lot of reasons to take an expensive vacation.

I have a friend that lives on one of the other keys. He has invited me to come stay with him whenever. That will be a two week trip for sure. It is nearly 1,700 miles to the southernmost point.

The room I use as my home office is the smallest of the "bedrooms" and there is just one AC vent and no return. The guest bedroom has a vent and a return. The Master bedroom has two vents and a return. This room is the coldest in the winter and the hottest in summer.

I have a 12 inch fan on the floor in the hall outside my home office. It helps a LOT by blowing air from the cooler hall into this room. The fan is fairly old. My wife owned it before we got married. It is very well designed. It comes apart to clean with no tools needed.

It started making racket like it needed oil. I took it apart, and had to use a Phillips screw driver to remove the front plate on the motor cover. A drop of oil and all back together in short order. It is quiet and blowing harder than before. Glen is happy.

Someday when we have to replace the central AC unit and go with the new style unit I will be dang sure this office is getting a upgrade for the HIVAC.

Have a fan that is about the size of a register and 3 inches tall. You set it over the register. When it senses air coming thru the register it turns on sucking more air thru that register. Used it for a while in my hot bedroom for my bro with MS. It couldn't make up the 5 degree difference in that bedroom so put a window A/C unit in. There is a ceiling fan in that room as well.

Took the window A/C out after my bro with MS moved in with his girlfriend. That room also didn't get as hot. It was the only room in my how that got afternoon and evening sun. The sweet gum tree and crepe mertyles have grown up to shade that room much better.

If you would like to borrow and try out that register fan thing you are welome to.

The window A/C unit is in my next door neighbors garage. He borrowed it and just never has bothered to carry it back. Said to tell him if I needed it. Seems we are both fairly lazy. You can borrow it too if that will help.

Back when my bro lived here we had to keep the house at 70°F or he would start sweating and couldn't move. Mom and I got used to it being 70°.

Based on that I'll not be at one till at least 2020 if then.

The registers here are on the ceiling. I can't see running an electrical cord to it. Part of the problem is that this room is the furthest from the HIVAC fan. Except maybe the closet in the master bedroom. It is big enough to have a register in it as well. It is cooler in there tan in my office. It is kinda HOT! outside. My little weather station says 99 with a heat index of 117.

Tomorrows flight is gonna be a hot time in the big city, er small city. We fly out of the Guthrie airport. The city where Rain Man went to see a doctor.

Yep the vent booster is made for floor vents, sorry. Still have that small window AC unit.

Maybe you could put a splitter in the ducting from that closet and run it over to the office registers?

When they put in the new HVAC he changed the way the vents are fed out of the plenum so more flow would go to the front bedroom (also the longest run). Helped about 1 degree trying to maintain 70°. And my thermostat is in the hallway between that room an the return for that end of the house.

The one in the closet is on the other side of the house. The only real cure is to put in a return and a bigger vent. That ain’t happening until the HIVAC gets replaced. I hope that is several long years from now.

I tried.

My vents are all run under the slab and are under each window and next to egress doors. There are two returns in the ceiling at either end of the house. That's where the filters are.

The room my brother was in is the only room on the West side of the house that receives afternoon and evening sun. Despite what you would think it was't warmer in summer and cooler in winter. It was 5 degrees warmer year round, summer or winter. After I put in the small window AC it ran on it's own thermostat and cycled in winter as well as summer. My brother called me in once when there was snow on the ground outside and pointed out the window unit was running. I pointed at a thermometer in his room indicating 70.

Good Morning.

It's only 68 out now, but humadity is 78%. Forecast is cloudy with a high of 94. Looks like it's gonna be a hot humid day.

Says will be in the 70's from 9am to 10am so gonna make my grocery run while it is cooler this morning. That way I can take the Pepper with me without worrying about roasted dog.
