Hey we survived Monday.

I will be getting high again today. Well, just 5,000 feet so a mile high. Assuming the thunderstorms behave and wait for us to get done.

Morning all. Hope everyone had a great long weekend. I spent most of it scanning in old photos from my parents.

Hopefully lots of them had names written on the back or somewhere.

Now the real fun is to set up a family tree. Ancestry.Com has a good platform. Upload the photos there, and distant cousins will be able to see them and download them. You will soon find other people have photos of your ancestors and family members you had never seen.

I went back many generations on some lines of the family. There are some great stories and interesting background of where you and your kids really came from.

My niece has the family tree thing covered. A lot have names and dates some do not and I am hoping others in the family can fill in the blanks.

My family tree is more of a bush. Mom's Dad's side immigrated from German and spelled their names different. Haven't been able to find a trace.
Dad's side goes to hillbillies in NE Tenn. Great grandmother was supposed to get married, but he either fell off a horse or was shot while gambling. Because she had a kid out of wedlock she was disowned by both families. She went to work as a maid for George Davis and ended up marrying him and he adopted her boy and re-named him. So technically my last name is an adopted name. Understand it would have been Bodine, like Jethro on the Hillbillies.

So in the span of a few weeks we have gone from freezing rain to triple digits. At least it only rained Friday night here. Supposed to again today and tomorrow.

Anyone used Speedhut gauges?

So the guy that works for me comes in and asks a question about one of his exams. Which port is more secure, port 465 or port 587.

Triple digits? Yikes! We’re still trying to break 70 degrees.

We should be back down to the upper 70s by the weekend.

Port 465 is secure by default requiring TLS/SSL.
Port 587 does both insecure and secure. For secure you have to enable TLS. Supposed to be replacing port 25. So I would say not secure.

Set my mailserver so all server connections come thru the hosted anti-spam. It comes in on port 2525, an old email port.

My mail server sends on port 25, but does not receive port 25.

If you set up an smtp client it is either 465 SSL or 2525 and requires login.

That way I don't get spammers connecting on port 25.

I told him it was a trick question and is the protocol behind it that matters and to answer however the examiner thinks you should.

Welp, cheated death again.

The clouds were just a little above us. Real glad for ADSB. It was 66 degrees at 4,000 AGL. Nice and comfortable. The hangar, not so much comfortable.

Got called from the Porsche shop. Getting A/C leaks tracked down and plugged on the 928. Also asked em to replace the rear view mirror because the little ball joint thing was so loose the mirror jiggled so bad it was not useable. Replacing it they cracked the windshield where the mirror attaches. Now waiting on a new windshield.

According to the view of the sun appearing on the Easter horizon a common concusion is that it is morning. Seem to be not lacking any body parts, no pains worth medding up for, and feel rested. It's nice 75°F and sunny and no cloud cover indicative of precipitation, But is supposed to get to 94°F today, so...

Good Morning, And Keep Cool!

Fer sure!

That bastage made me work until 10:30 last night. I got even by going straight to bed with his wife and getting lots of um sleep.

Back up at regular time and I had to jump right on the project and get the data tweaked to send to the client. They have a VERY particular way they want it delivered. THat is done.
