there you go he is the best man for the job. My sister has a house in McCall ID that she and her husband bought. Its at around 5000' elevation. The prop people sent her a picture last week of 7' of snow on the ground and about 3' on the roof. They have to deal with it not my sister.

Unfortunately she lives some distance from where we are and where the property is.

perhaps she (missed that part) can recommend a more local one to help you out. Yeah it might cut into the profits but I'm betting its worth not having to play landlord and repairman at all hours of the night.

One of my wife's friends is married to a guy that is a landlord. He retired from GM when they closed the local plant years ago. He is a handyman type, and it is now his retirement gig. He has about a dozen houses, and just goes house to house to fix what is needed, and get one ready for a new occupant. He seems to like it, but I just can't imagine that task as something I want to get into again. He has one neighborhood that he has like 6 houses just down the street from each other.

He bought houses when the oil booms went bust. So many people would jump on a mortgage when the times were good, and walk away when the times were bad. He would talk to a bank and offer something before it went to auction and looked bad on their books.

Yep my Uncle found the good renter equivalent by Section 8 paying for the repairs, and the property management thing by having that relative/handiman do all the work. He just told the guy what to do.

He called the company Good Neighbors.

When the renters etc came to talk to him he always wore a black suite with a huge silver fish hook on his lapel.

My Cayenne is 1 year too old. If it were a year newer it would have a back up camera and and a powered rear hatch. Ain't going thru fixing the stuff on a used one again though.

Backup cameras are nice. Powered rear hatch is just one more thing to fix down the road to me.

I need a new radio in the Cobra. Don't need one with a backup camera though.

Thought about replacing the stock stereo/nav with one that includes bluetooth so I can talk on the phone. But got honest. Put that in the Rover and used it a whole 2 times. Not worth the cost two update stereo.

Always makes me thing when go to lunch with my Brother. He got a phone call driving back from lunch. Talked half way to my house and left him talking as I got out and he drove off. He sometimes gets texts, has siri read the new text to him, then he answers the text. All hands free.

When I got in the car to go to lunch today I made a big point of turning off the ringer on my phone saying, "I'm at lunch now, they will just have to leave a message." He didn't listen just like Bob doesn't listen when I tell him about Mom's caregivers.

Bob has gone thru 3 caregivers that come out to help him fix meals and clean house. He makes a list and is real picky about how they do things. Then he calls and complains to their supervisor. It is not long until the start showing up late and leaving early, then ask to have him taken off their list. Tell him about Mom's caregivers that we are just nice to them and tell them anything they can do for us would be a great help. It is not long before they start coming early, leave late, do more than on the list of stuff they are supposed to help with, and tell me Mom is their favorite.

I installed a license plate frame backup camera and a rear view mirror with built-in display on my 280Z. My rear hatch isn’t powered. It also needs a new radio, one with Bluetooth would do the trick.

Glen, it sounds like a good meal.

The cameras on the Macan are nice. It is clear view of the ground on all sides of the vehicle, front, sides an rear. And sensors beeping as well. Somehow in my old 80s cars, I manage to park with mirrors and looking. It always works 100% of the time.

The C-pillars on the 280Z are wide enough to impact rear visibility a bit. I expect that the rear view camera will help with backing up in parking lots. We’ll see. I still have to get the car put back together.

That Macan camera system is magical. The 360 view is seamless, it is like have one camera right above the car, but it sees the edge of rear license tag and right up under the front of the car. On the side is what is under the doors. All completely seamless in the video display. The only thing wrong with the display it the Macan on the display is black. Likely with lots of hacking and effort I could get it to be a white vehicle on the display, but I thing it is supposed to be just a "place holder" anyway.

TGIF everyone. Except Jim, you don't count since it is Saturday again.

Maybe you need to get some glasses.

The restaurant we went to last night is truly next door to an old very large cemetery. My parents are buried there, as are grandparents, great uncles, and aunts as such. As usual I park in the far corner of the lot to avoid door dings. My spot is just a few feet from the grave stones. The old interurban streetcar used to have a big station and a large park was just south of it. The cemetery is a mile wide at some parts and shaped around a drainage creek into a triangle shape on other sides.

In the early days of Oklahoma City, they built a road in roughly a circle around the city. It is called Grand Blvd. Part of that circle is one boundary of the cemetery. They have graves from the earliest days of the city.

I noticed I was almost out of the blank checks for the local region. So, reorder time.

I started digging around in the records, and it was 02/04/2006 that I took over as treasurer for the region. I knew it had been a while, I guess time flies when yer having fun.
