Before I went off to college some friends got a doberman puppy. Played with it when stopped by. Visited after I came back being gone 2 semesters. They warned the doberman had been attack trained. The second it saw me it turned into a puppy wiggling and wanting to play.
Cousin had a doberman. Don't know what happened but he and his doberman were found dead in his new apartment. Cousin recently moved from NJ after selling parents house. Brother got conservatorship of cousins estate and said he only had $2500, a couple old computers, TV, and 2001 Honda Oddesy.

My MIL got a dachshund puppy, Ginger, about the time my FIL was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. She grew up and figured out the humans were not alpha and became a rather angry dog trying to protect the humans from everything. We kept her at our house for a week when they went to a final vacation before he slipped away mentally. She went after my wife's 17 years old dachshund and I promptly interceeded, and explained she was not the alpha in out house. Same technique, grab her, flip her upside down, and lean down over her with her between my legs. She was trapped, and had a giant human (compared to a 12 pound dog) and angrily explained it to her. I never had to hit her or spank her, just tone of voice and control her actions.
Until she died of old age when we went to see my MIL we made sure to get her in the kitchen tile floor because she was going to submissive pee when she greeted me. She did not do that for anyone else.

I had to do the flp her on her back and lay on her thing to Camber to stop her from biting.
When I play with Pepper she likes to grab with her mouth. But if she gets a little to hard you say ooch and she immediately starts licking.

Several years ago I used this peal off paint stuff call plasiti dip on my 944 Turbo and GTS as a temporary bra for protection from rock chips on long trips.
![]() ![]() It worked pretty good protecting and came off easily after I got home. Thought it looked pretty good. Now this stuff is sold on dipyourcar.com and it is a lot tougher. Then it was all mat colors, now it is glossy. They even have a layer you can ceramic coat! I was so ahead of my time.

Watching the Indy 500 pre-race. I find it a bit odd (contrived) all the announcers and drivers talking about the lack of fans. OK, I understand that's a big deal. It's part of what makes Indy the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. And there's the business side of big-time racing that cannot be ignored.
But at the same time, as a racer I could care less if there's anyone watching me race. That's not why I'm a racecar driver. I'm a racer because I've wanted to win Indy more than anything else in the world since the age of 5. Yeah, I want to put on a good show (for the fans), but at the same time the racer in me wants to win and dominate, like Rick Mears did when he won by 2 laps once. I remember a print ad by Kenny Roberts Jr, where he had a quote about not wanting to win the championship by finishing well, but by winning every damn race on the calendar.

F1 has been racing with nobody in the bleachers since the first race this year. There have even been a few cardboard cutouts in the stands but that is about all.
You kinda notice all the people missing when they*are doing the pit interviews.

Good Monday morning all.
Another busy day for me. I "get" to deliver two different projects to clients. So much of what we do is just digital, it is not often we have print jobs, and we just had two different clients order prints.

Mertnin. Wish everyone a good week.
Am assuming all the youngsters going to school is going to spike the Covid problems. Am home bound due to medical issues. Have been for basically a year now. Sucks not being able to do things like I used to.

I started my Monday off the getting mail last night and finding that the IRS seems to think I Under represented My income by a rather large sum and they think I owe almost $10k!?!?!?
I’ve been researching furiously and figured out how I screwed it up. Don’t owe any more, but have lots of paperwork to file to prove that point. |

They have access to any paycheck and can trace that back to the taxes paid. We had the great honor of getting audited for out first year in business. I had to buy a new printer, scanner, fax, copier and two reams of paper to print every single receipt and make two copies. One for my CPA and one for the IRS. It took me a full week just to make all the receipts. They decided we were within a few bucks and admitted it would cost more to open the file, and have me pay it that it was worth. I twas about 20 something bucks.

Ya I printed off a ton of pages last night. The issue is that about a 1/3rd or my income comes as restricted stock units which show up on my W2, but also hit a 1099 from the investment company. I didn’t use the form to account for the taxes paid that showed on my W2, so they think the 1099 is showing another 1/3rd of income that I didn’t report. I can sort it out, just going to be a pain. And also realized I did the same thing on this years taxes. So I need to fight this for 2018s taxes, and the. Go file and amended return for 2019.

Paid 2400 in hoepital bills with a flex pay account. Now have to show what it was spent on. Had the hospital sent an itemized list. The list is an inch thick! This is why i didn't want to mess with this health savings. To much paperwork for the the small ammount of taxes it saves.
Last ye`ar I turned off pet insurance because found it didn't pay for anything. They somehow added the health savings/flex pay. Have always opted out of the flex pay.

When I went to deliver one of the projects, I went to the wrong building for the company. It covers most of a 1/2 of a square mile, and there were several building that were obvious repair facilities, or production facilities, and he had said it was right along the main road. The first building I went to had lots of pickups, and SUVs and beat up ordinary cars one would see at most workplaces. It was not the administration building. So off I went to the two story very nice building with a Mercedes 300 AMG and a Mercedes SLC AMG parked in nice wide spots with a lot of landscaping around the building. Yep, that was the right building. He is a shrewd businessman and owns several companies at other locations. And I am pretty sure it is all on his own hard work and investments that he made the money. Gotta respect that.

What, a three day weekend! You need to keep having fun with spreadsheets!
I delivered the other project this morning. It was the University where my wife used to work. The Vice President that requested it, and got the president to authorize the flight and prints is someone my wife worked with for many years. When he walked up he instantly knew her, and asked if there was some sort of tenuous relationship with her being there with me. So I replied, sort of, we have been married for 29 years. He offered me his condolences. He used to call my wife Thelma from the move Thelma and Louise because she is a good friend to another employee up there that were together often.

Hey, Labor day is coming up, you get a 3 day weekend for that!
Dang it, I guess my El Camino got jealous of the 911 getting an oil leak fixed. Driving back from the appointment yesterday cruising along at the posted 70 MPH speed limit, I noticed a LOT of smoke behind me. All the gauges were normal, oil pressure, water temp, voltage, all normal. I was pretty close to home, so I pressed on. Evidently in the heat, something let go and started a decent oil leak. So now I "get" to put it on the lift, and inspect what the heck let go. Right now I am at a total loss. Looking at the top of the engine I don't see anything new except the seeping oil leaks that have been there for years. This is going to be fun to fix. Likely not as easy as the three day pulley end seal. I really hope it is not the crank seal. At this point, I have no real clue.

It must be that kind of week. The wife came in an hour ago to report her car was dead. So a new battery later that required a lesson in rubics cube assembly to get the old one out and the new one in it no starts up just fine.
