Dad has a friend that is a crew chief for a guy that is out of AZ. They had to rebuild the transmission in this car, while it was in the car. When done the guy asked my son if he was ready to do the next one and he said maybe. He did watch closely the whole time.

No window washing this morning. There is an amazing sight outside, water is just falling out of the sky!

It is nice to have liquid water falling from the sky. It sucks bigly when it gets all hard or lumpy and turns into hail, sleet, snow or freezing rain.

Weismann transmissions are in both my racecars.
They have a long history in racing.
In the early 60s Ms Weismann was single and dating Phil Hill, she worked as the lead scoring person for Ferrari at the races.
Important job before transponders.
Ford hired her because she had inside knowledge about Ferrari racing.
At Ford Mr Weismann had been hired to fix the GT 40 drivetrain issues that led to the dismal first Le Mans attempt.
So the two met and married at Ford.

They had 2 sons that today still run the Weismann transmission business.
Recently the two sons told me a story of back in the Can Am days in the early 70s.
They were at a Can Am race at Riverside and one of the big Can Am teams had a broken Weismann transmission and asked Mr Weismann if he could repair it at the track.
He said yes and sent his two teenage boys to repair the trans in the pits to the embarrassment of all the adults on the race team.

I'd wash my windows too if it would make it rain.

Mrs. Carrera was planning to plant a bunch more flowers today. She just returned from two different nurseries with more plants. She says she has spots for them all, and it is her project, so I don't care.

Every flowerbed keeps growing, and filling up.

I know she is planning on more.

I just checked my junk mail folder before flushing all the spam. One was supposed to be from a friend of mine that was a board member of our region. He died about two years ago. I am suspecting the email is bogus. Two were from China and they are claiming our domain is China is in conflict with a Chinese company. Like I care, our domain is ours, and we ain't gonna sell it for less than we get to retire money like a couple of million. I don't have to worry much about that happening.

More flower beds means less grass to mow!

Yep, just more to string trim. She has told me that she want to connect two of the flowerbeds now, so more grass goes away, and we need more concrete edging blocks. The old ones are from 20+ years ago, and one of the first flower beds I installed. Now all the similar shape blocks are red, not concrete grey. That will not work, so we are trying to figure out how to make it work. With Bermuda grass an edging is vital or the grass will take over the flowerbed in no time. The best way to grow more Bermuda is put in a flowerbed and try to keep the grass out. It will flourish, but refuse to go to the area where we want more grass.

It got warm here and had started raining. I might need to cu and bail the yard by the time it is done.

Ted, cool story.

We went to a friend of my wife's to get a puppy fix. She had a new 10 week old puppy that is a bundle of energy and was happy to play and wiggle and run around. She is a mix 1/2 poodle, and Australian Shepard. She should be pretty smart.

One of my friends was married to a big boss at Sonic. They traveled all the time for her to go on seminars, and retreats. For some reason many were at Disney World, Hawaii, Monaco, Germany, Bali and other tough places to visit. Never Detroit in winter or Minot, ND in February. Funny how that worked out. And they always stayed at first class hotels.

This is a local resort out on the Penn about ab hours drive away. But I bet they were not looking for a guy doing CAD with large files to open and save.

I just went out to check on Mrs. Carrera. She put me to work instantly. I had to tote two bags of potting soil from the storage shed to her. Then she "let" me put up three trellises, trelli? Whatever the plural of trellis is, I put up three. They are up against a stockade fence, so I had to poke them into the ground. and used some 24 inch zip ties to secure them in place to the fence. The bean vine hyacinth grows like bamboo wants to, and she has some other vine for the other trellis.

I have been told (warned) that tomorrow we are cleaning the back porch. That means taking all the plants and other gardening stuff off the porch and hosing down the concrete, and the brick walls, and almost certainly removing the screens and washing the windows as a added bonus. The cleaning the patio furniture. Then get all the stuff back on the patio. It is gonna be fun.
