Pete, since going up into New England, and all the other parades since, I rolled 191,400 miles on my 911 as I arrived home from Parade 2023.
I was curious so I checked a map, and Parade 2025 will be a whopping 10 miles for me. Parade 2024 just 700 miles each way to Birmingham. |

I'm right on your way. |
Having fun in the garage. I went out to do a simple 20 minute fix. I came in four hours later.
In California, in the heat, the rear view mirror fell off. I have changed my mirror from the stock unit to a modern unit. It automatically darkens when some fool is behind me in a jacked up vehicle with insane bright headlights trying to blind me. It also has a thermometer, and a compass and the main thing I wanted, it has the buttons for the garage door programmed in, so it is easier to pull right into either garage door. It also provides me a power source for the radar detector, and a place for the detector to mount. The power cable for the detector pulled out when the mirror fell off the windshield. It uses two small pins that have to go into the right connector spots. I had to figure out what pin goes where since I installed it a long time ago. That is done. I sure love the AC in the garage. It was nice and cool out there. |

Thought you meant Plainfield ,VT.
Plainfield, NH. is 49 miles south of me....my daughter lives there. |
49 miles up there is two hours of diving with all the mountains in the way. In La Quinta the trip was short in miles, but long due to traffic. They have insane long traffic lights, and not one is synchronized, so go less than a mile and wait for 4 minutes at the light.
In New Mexico, there was just desert and open roads, and lots of HEAT but traffic was almost none at times. Today is mow the yard time. Tomorrow I get the stitches out. I am ready, they are starting to itch and I want em gone. Pete and Brent, have a good meeting, two of the nice guys from Pelican get to meet. |
Yesterday when I was in my garage, I made a list of some items I was low or out of, so I ordered them. The blue Scotts paper towels, one case. Oil for the 911, 12 quarts, and some ATE Type 200 brake fluid, and few other items. Non were needed right away.
The brake fluid showed up this morning. I don't need it until next spring, but if I waited to order it, when I need it, I would be out, and then it would be back ordered. Ah well. On the shelf it goes. |
