Decent temps here but lots of rain off an on. Is that what it is like in WA?

Our new terror:

Where did the little guy come from? I'd love to have a frenchie as our next pup.

My late brother n law always wanted to breed his frenchie, called Shadow, so his mom and younger brother could have a puppy. We adopted Shadow when my BiL passed and my wife decided to follow up on her brother's wish so we picked up the puppy, named Sunny, a few weeks ago. Given the circumstances and the fact we were only breeding once for family the person we got the puppy offered to do it for free in a couple years.

Both have birthdays on May 25th.

This is Shadow:

I love those pups. I have heard they have separation issues. Have you found that to be the case?

Shadow doesn't really, but he was used to being home alone at the BiL's house.

Sunny, is sassy and wants to be in charge and doesn't like to be confined or kenneled. She chewed through the baby gate that keeps her in my wife's office.

She isn't supposed to be in the kitchen and this is what she does.

For the second time this week, a band of thunderstorms along a front going from Texas up to Kansas, splits apart and goes completely around us, and north and south of us get lots of rain.

Tomorrow we have a Saturday autocross. I expect a single thunderstorm will come dump on us and the rest of the state will be dry.

I have driven to Arkansas and had to use the windshield wipers from the moment I leave the garage to the point I shut the car off in Arkansas.

I have autocrossed in rain so hard that it was hard to see the next cone, and aquaplaning was an issue. That was in the 914 with vinyl seats. Also I was much younger! I will not do that in my 911 with leather seats. And back in the days of our 914 we had timing equipment that used a rubber hose like at the old service stations, and a wire running to the timer. Now it is all wireless and just "rain resistant", and very expensive to replace if it gets wet.

Wow, the rain gods are confused right now. The thunderstorm I expect tomorrow to mess up the autocross just came over. We just got a whopping .20 inches of rain, and it was just one little cloud right over us. I guess it is just practicing for tomorrow.

Tomorrow's forecast is just a 20% rain in the morning, and higher in the afternoon and evening. So in theory we will be OK.

If there is any moisture or clouds the forecast is almost always 20% chance of rain. It is a safe percentage, and if a stray cloud dumps rain, they are covered.

It was 62 degrees this morning but a tad humid at 99% humidity. We have a week of sunshine and mid to upper 80s coming up.

We had another autocross this weekend. It had a few areas that really needed a 2nd gear, then back to first gear shift. I am not gonna do that for an autocross, so I just stayed at redline in first, made the tight turns and finally got to second after the two tight spots. I was really slow compared to all the modern cars with dual clutch PDK transmissions and a gazillion HP more than I have. I still had fun. The autocross chairman has a 914 race car he is almost done with. I suspect when he gets out there with those corners and has to shift into first a few time, he will set up a course that is all second gear.

We have San Diego weather right now.

Looked like an autocross setup at the local airport when we drove by. Or a car show. Or both. Couldn't find any info on it.

Our hangar at the airport is on a row that to get there from the entrance to the airport grounds we use would be a really fun autocross track. I have to restrain myself when I am in the 911 out there. Since is is a privately owned airport, they have a gate with a code to get in, and only people that rent hangars, their guests, and employees of the airport are allowed out there.
It mist me nice to have enough spare cash to just buy an airport, and have employees run the place so the owner can keep his private jet out there.

So you got your shot twice!

I got a tetanus shot at the hospital when the floor attacked my forehead. It made my arm pretty sore. About the time that stopped hurting, my annual physical was due, and they gave me a Prevnar 20 shot that is supposed to protect geezers from 20 types of pneumococcal bacteria that commonly cause serious infections in adults. That hurt as much as the tetanus.
