Glad you are better. Just think how bad you would feel with pneumonia or Hepatitis B. Hopefully you are safe from that.

Today is edge and mow the yard day again. About to head out there before it gets hot. Is is just 73 now but 73% humidity. Gonna be a bit sweaty but I get my exercise.

Lets hope I'm safe. Can't mow and edge here today unless you bring a wet suit. ITs dumping out today.

Our upcoming track day is coming together. It is a 5.5 hour drive to MO to the Ozark track.

I have run Hallett aa dozen times. It is just 90 miles away, and a a fun track. We are looking for something different.

It looks like a fun track.

We are at 74 right now. I will be flying another project today. We have an all new camera system and the lenses are sharper than before, and all tuned up an new electronics and USB3 throughout. With the old camera, if we had a tailwind it was easy to be going too fast of a ground speed and the camera could not keep up. This system should allow us to go faster and not miss any photos due to waiting for the huge images to write to the laptop. We always want more pixels, and more resolution. We will be shouting it at 5cm resolution. This is 2 inch resolution, so a 2 inch object on the ground would be one pixel wide. It will make for just huge final images, but really sharp. It will be interesting to see how big the final images is for the entire project.

Back on the ground again.

The client did not ask for oblique angle photos, because we charge for that service. They figured out, if the ignore it, they know we will shot them anyway, it was an extra 10 or 12 minutes of flying, and we can sell them a few expensive 40x60 prints. It does not cost us anything but the few minutes of time and we make extra money. If they want a digital version, even more money!

We are just greedy capitalist pigs.

What bloows me away, is each image is 294,881 KB when saved. I bet I waas on my 5th computer before I had a hard drive big enough to hold one image, much less a computer with enough oomph to open it in Photoshop.

A couple in our small neighborhood posted a flyer about an estate sale. The boss's wife decided we "needed" to check it out. Mostly to find out if they were moving out but to see what they might have.

It turns out, their two kids don't want any of that stuff, and there are no grandchildren expected at all. So they emptied out some of the stuff they just don't use or need. Nothing I wanted and same for the boss's wife, so we walked back home. They are a nice couple, and we have waved and said hello but never met before. They are on a different street, but they knew I had a El Camino and 911.

He has a 96 Corvette with 40,000 miles he bought new.

I was with the pilot for one of the larger projects on Saturday. It is a campus of a lot of buildings, and a lot of them have above ground walkways to keep the employees out of the weather to go between most of the buildings. It covers almost 5 square miles, and just the core mile is packed with complex building and the dang elevated walkways.

The issue for us, is the project was 420 individual images, all mosaiced together. The walkways are a challenge to make them look correct. When one image is shot from a different angle than the other image. The computer builds a 3D model of the ground, and the buildings, and tried to drape the pixels over the shape. Some of it is astonishing good, some is a little funky, and takes a human touch.

Personally I would prefer they tear down all the walkways, and just make those many hundreds if not thousands of employees just walk outside. It sure would make my job easier. It would really suck for then, but hey I would be happier! I suspect I will not get them to spend several million dollars to remove the walkways and make employees unhappy. Dang it.

We have three nice projects that have kept me busy for a while. They all are at the point where I have done all I can do until I hear back from them as to just what they want as far as deliverables.

All three contacts are emailed, and now I just wait for them to all reply on Friday afternoon and say they need them right away. I will be driving the boss's car on track in Missouri, and busy playing until Tuesday. Hopefully they will reply soon and I can get them all out of the way.

I feel like I cheated when mowing today. It was 72 degrees, low humidity, nice breeze, and overcast. The yard had no sign of dew, and it went smooth and easy.

I stopped to get gas for the El Camino, and two guys pulled up. One was in an Olds 442, and the other a 60s or early 70s Mustang 350 GT, or a clone more likely. Both were nice cars, but I had just filled up, and there were people looking for a pump to get gas, so I left.

High today was 82. It’s 74 right now and beautiful.
I finished up some school work and now I’m on the back porch smoking a cigar and watching some TV on the projector.

I lost my mind and bought a Moots mountain bike frame a few weeks back. I used some parts I had to build it up for the most part. The last little pieces I need for it to be rideable came in today so I’m hoping to drag it out to the trail this weekend. Took it around the block to make sure everything was working properly. It’s gonna be a riot on the trails. Single speed because figuring out what gear I should be in is more thinking than I want to do when I’m riding. Wanna go faster? Pedal faster.

From a few days ago. Looks a bit different now. I replaced all of the decals and got the rear brake line held in place properly instead of taped.
And that’s the front porch of the old ass house I bought.

An old house in that part of the country is a lot different than an old house here. There are only a handful of building from before 1900 in Oklahoma City area.

So when was your old hose built? 1700s or 1800s?
