It is a bit breezy here today. 50 to 60 MPH breeze with occasional gusts to 70. Skinny people are carrying rocks in their pocket, and it is a skirt warning as well. Parts of the topsoil of the Texas panhandle is coming to visit us in the air.

The good news is it is almost to 70 and going to be a tad warmer.

There was a car crash just at the intersection outside our house. Someone pulled out without looking and someone else was not paying attention to impatient people pulling out into traffic.

Only minor injuries.

Cold and rainy in Santa Rosa on fast day 5.

Drank 108oz of water yesterday. I feel good today even after another blood draw.

We are down to 40mph winds today. Still sucks. Blows. Whatever.

Today is Pi day, and our 33rd anniversary. We always go out to eat on Friday night. Normally we have to pick a restaurant. I did not not have to ask, I just drove to the restaurant where had our first date, and where we eat every anniversary.

The winds were just insane, and the air was brown. Visibility was 1/4 mile at times, sometimes 1.2 a mile. My white El Camino is brown with dust. It will be easy to clean it off.

I am just back from the Porsche dealer's event. Lots of cool cars, and great people.

My feet are sore from standing for three hours on concrete.

Wind blew the slide of the large wooden play set and blew the doors out of the metal garden shed. Was in the upper 70s yesterday though so not all bad. The weather is screwing with our sap collection though. Might end up with only a gallon of syrup this year instead of almost 4.

Ordered another 3D Printer. FDM this time for larger pieces. Couldn't justify $800 for a resin that wouldn't print as large as the FDM for $300. FDM has gotten good enough that post processing for paint isn't bad. Need to print some brake ducts for the Cobra.

My business partner has a pretty cool 3D printer. He has made some cool things with it.

There are lots off people that had their stockade fences that were blown down. We have metal poles, so no damage to our fences. The winds were 60 to 70 and one gust was over 70. One area had 80 MPH gusts. That is just insane. Lots off fires and many houses burned down in Stillwater. The fires stayed out of the the Metro OKC area fortunately for us.

Phew. The mean boss's wife was pointing and grunting at items to be removed, cut up and stuck into the wheeled bins. First off was a sequoia tree branch, well maybe just a limb on a tree, five inches thick. So I whacked the top stuff, worked my way down, cutting off three foot lengths to fit in the trash can, and made the big cut at the base of the tree.

Then she pointed me to a five bark bush that was 10 years old. She had cut it down to several inches above ground and she grunted for me to remove the stumps and roots. It was three feet across, so I started digging. That was fun. I had to break it in half to get all the stump parts and enough roots to satisfy the slave driver. That was even more fun.

She had cut it down so far, there was nothing left to tie a chain to to just pull it out with the El Camino.

That sure is one way to lose weight, stop eating. I dropped 30 pounds by just cutting by eating smaller portions, and few cookies or other snacks.

My wife tried to water one of the multiple flower bed yesterday that I set up with drip irrigation. That area was once part of the yard that I mowed, and I had laid irrigation pipes for spray heads. We converted it to a flower bed, and I was tasked with converting it to drip irrigation. I always overbuild, and my sprinkler system is supplied by a 1.5 horsepower 220 Volt water pump in a well that is 225 feet deep. All 1.5 inch mains and stubbed off the 3/4 inch sections. When I finished it I had 99 spray heads and 18 gallons per minute per section. I put it in back in 1998, and it has been flawless, and wonderful.

So I had 3/4 inch PVC in the ground in the now flowerbed, and had to hook that to the 1/4 inch flexible tubing. I found a connector that went from 3/4 inch to the garden hose connection. Then a fitting that went from a garden hose to a 1/4 inch fitting. The connection was stepped and broken. Now I "get" to dig it all up, and lower that connection and replace the fitting. It is supposed to be close to 80 today, so I may have to change from jeans to shorts.

Phew, Mrs. Carrera wanted to go to burger day at a nice local restaurant. Burgers on sale, I am in. Then I discovered the real reason! "Oh while we are up here, lets stop at Lowe's and pick up more parts for the drip irrigation system" and of course that came with a certainty I was going to install those parts.

And on the way back, lets stop at the credit union for cash. Oh, also we can swing by the post office box as she forgot to mail something.

And as expected, 30 minutes in the gardens fixing the drip irrigation.

Wow, last night and this morning parts of New Mexico came to visit. It is dusty, and WINDY again. Our new roof is getting a real test. I am sure lots of stockade fences will be blown down, and some more trees.

It hit 80 yesterday, and supposed to hit mid 70s today. We had a toad singing last night. This morning he may well go back into his hole.

Day 10, yee haw! One more day until I can use my taste buds again. One effect of fasting is that your taste becomes more sensitive. I look forward to it. Also had another blood draw since the doc wants to check hemocrits.
