We only sailed for a couple of hours. It was a bit foggy here...visibility varied from 1/4 to 1/2 mile. The iPhone pictures don’t do the fog justice.

Golly flying commercial is fun

I prefer my setup. I always bring a bottle of water from home, the airplane never ever leaves without me since I have his check. And we park our cars. in the hangar for the flight. Never any layovers since we come back home. We handed one of the pilots a case of Yuengling beer today as a extra special bonus, after we got back.

That was a quick trip Sid.

Well that was a hectic week at work, and I’m glad to be retired again for the next two weeks.

We’re about to head to the airport, and we’ll be in Auckland NZ lunchtime tomorrow.

Just this is my view of the clouds. Different perspective. The good news is was a area we just flew past, and the project area was clear as was the airport where we land.

Yikes! Sorry Pete, and sorry I asked, too! I’d suppressing those memories as best as I can.

We’re socked in with fog this morning. It’s Glenn's clouds, just at ground level. As soon as it clears, come on over, Pete!

Morning all,
Up at sparrow fart so I can get prepped to be molested by airport immigration officials. I reckon it’s harder to leave a country than it is to get in one.

Have fun in Auckland, Jeff. I wish I was there!

Went to a shop in Vista, CA (Brent's former town) and picked up a set of new 16x7 Panasports for the Z. Still in their blue vinyl shrink wrap.

Now to choose tires...

Still a fair bit of work to finish up before the Z can hit the street, hopefully later this year.

Just got back from the grocery store. More than 80& of the stuff in the chip isle is made by Frito-Lay. Rows and rows of all kinds of flavored chips. And the one row, that always runs out, the Toasted Corn/Plain Doritos they discontinue. Boycotting all Frito-Lay broducts. And there are no other toasted corn tortilla chips it's all wheat four, and only one other brand that Frito-lay does not make.

Going to start getting Pringles. Besides, Pringles cardboard tubes are more environmentally friendly they can be recycled, chip bags not so much.

Get something around 225. I like Zs with wide tires.
Since I don't autocross any more I go with high performance all season. So I don't have to worry about weather or if I get into a go fast situation.

Just don't make them stick out 3 or 4 inches from the fender wells with what looks like 15° of negative camber.
If your tire shop wants to do that, tell them they should be doing upholstery not wheel/tires.

225's will be daunting with stock suspension & unrolled, unflared fenders. The guy running the Datsun racing & restoration shop was pushing me to go with 205/55/16s. Lots of good hi-perf summer tires in that that size.

Just figured 225 was max. That's what all of the Porsche I've owned except for the 914 ran on the fronts.
