I am on call this weekend. I guess technically I am always on call, but I get the call first this weekend. We don't get many calls now as compared to before.

I don't think I need hands free in the Cobra. All they would hear is a rumble from the small block and wind noise. I imagine the hands free text would be "Bowerrrrr, paww, bawerrrrrr". I like the 360* view that it currently has as well with the old Mk 1. Then again, if I stretch I can probably reach the handle for the trunk lid while in the drivers seat. I can't see the passenger side exhaust pipe though. It is so small I can stand along side, reach the carb and turn the key at the same time. Of course the engine is set far enough back that the water pump pulley is 6" behind center of the front wheels.

Colder today but things are drying up. For now.

Hands free units are great till they start messing with the phones. The newer phones are not compatible with my RDX.

My wif'e Macan is happy to talk to by phone via Bluetooth. The other day I was standing in the garage texting to my business partner and Mrs Carrera got in the Macan and drove off to lunch. In the middle of my text the phone decided I was driving the Macan and it said it would disable all notifications until we stopped. I was not even in the dang thing! She drove off, and the Bluetooth decided it was OK for me to text again. I still need to find out how to disable that dumb feature. I never text and drive. I have used Siri to dictate a text to and send it. But I did not even have to to look at the phone.

We can use voice or text hands free in the Avenger. Pretty handy if my wife needs me to grab something on the way home. She can text and the car will read it to me and I can text back confirmation all while it is in my pocket. Also has voice commands to play artist, title, genre and so forth from the flash drive so I don't have to hunt for them. Pretty nice for a base car. OK, it has the big engine and touring suspension. No other options.

The ladies that clean the house came today. Mrs Carrera was explaining to one of them that the stuff in the bathtub was all fine, and just seedlings for future flowers. I chimed in and said "now you can tell your other clients one house you clean has so much dirt in the bathtub plants are growing"

Everyone laughed, and the cleaning lady said she was cleaning up one place that was rather filthy, and she was reaching under the couch to clear out dog toys and came out with a large bud of marijuana. She just acted calm and put it on an end table after she had dusted.

After over a year trying to replace our main programmer looks like we are outsourcing to India.

We deal with another company in Arizona. He does similar work to what we do. He hired a programmer and later found out the guy was mostly sending the work to India. He said he really thinks they would deliberately break one function when they modified or fixed something else. He said it was a total wast of time after a year of trying. He found a local guy that was able to do it right in short order.

Never assume malice when incompetency is just as likely. Or something like that, I am terrible with most quotes.

rain changing to snow tonight.

The city ain't inspected the trench in the front yard yet. Guess we got our last freeze. Now if they can just get to it before it rains next Saturday.

Pete, that white stuff absolutely confuses me. White grass? Genetically modified?

I spent the day driving my wife around to see the desert wildflower “super blooms.” Pretty nice. We also drove over to the Salton Sea trying to spot the monster.

We also cruised through some of Palm Springs and then headed home. Nice 300+ mile outing.

On man, just spent an hour talking Bob thru shutting down his mac mini and wireless keyboard, then turning on the keybord, then the mac mini and following the instructions on the screen to re-pair his wireless keyboard.

Yikes. Don't think i could do helpdesk stuff like that all day.

I feel that way with my MIL. She just freezes up and can’t do simple things. Fortunately I can just log onto her computer remotely and do everything needed now.

Go fall down in the ditch, call 911 and then sue the city for failure to inspect the line so it could be covered up.

Naaaa. Not a good idea.

Ahhhhhhh.

Racing is really back.
I just finished watching the 8 hours of WEC 1000 miles at Sebring. Now watching F1 practice 3. Next up is qualifying. Then back to Sebring for the IMSA 12 hours of Sebring. Then tomorrow is the F1 race. Phew. Ahhhhh.

if can figure it out an going to try F1 TV.

Looks like will be able to watch all the practices, quaratines, races real time including in-car. Also had interviews, pit stuff, historicals, all kinds of content.
If I miss the live event, can also watch on-demand.

Can watch on web and phone etc. Only problem is to watch on my TV have to use my web browser and airplay to my AppleTV.

Would be a lot better if they had their viewer app for AppleTV like they do IOS on the iPhone. It;s not THAT different.

Its $8 a month, if I like it $78 for the season.

Dang, the bosses wife handed me a list of tasks she wants done ASAP. One of them was to dig up two of the sprinkler heads in an area that 21 years ago when I put in the system was grass I mowed. Over the years she made it a area to put in plants. The soil built up and the heads were buried down 4 inches in the soil. She wanted something to water plants that might get 3 or 4 feet tall. So I had to dig up the old heads and they are totally surrounded by roots. So digging through mud and roots was a chore. Now a riser that is adjustable for 2 feet to 4 feet tall is in.
Now I have to catch up with Sebring. I am 2 hours behind.
