I don't blame you. My car was missing the original knob and had a Porsche crest after market one installed. It was loose and would come off in your hand when I first got the car. I used a little rubber cement to secure it. It popped right off when I replaced it with the 917 knob.

So, I was finishing some of the fiberglass work on the scoop on the hood of the Cobra. Prepped it and primed it. Well, the primer came of with the little hand broom. Must have been defective. I bought some new and it did just fine.

It had an odd texture so I brushed it with my hand and my hand was full of black dust. I would have been seriously annoyed had it a cot of paint over it when I found out.

My grandpa, mom's dad was never a cusser. His biggest most vile expletive was "well ding-bust".

That is what he said when my dad asked he if he could marry my mom. I was not there at the time, but I was told about it much later.

Speaking of the dating marriage thing, they were teasing me in softball a couple years ago about the daughter getting close to dating age and they asked if I would meet the suitors at the door with a spoon. I said"She has her own and and she also does Muay Thai." They figured I didn't need the spoon.

If I had to, I figured I would yell at her when leaving to behave because I wasn't burying no more bodies in the back yard. Technically, I wouldn't be lying.

I remember long ago when I was 19 going to pick up a new girlfriend at her house. Meet the dad, and go through the approval process. I was driving a brand new Porsche 914 2.0. That was approved as transportation and pretty much a sax from sex car. I went back a few weeks later when we were going to go to a local concert with some other friends. I was driving my brothers Volkswagen Westfalia Camper. That was not an easy approval. Only the fact that we were going with 4 other people that the dad knew was it permitted.
