The excuse I am using recently is brain damage.

Dang it.

Had to stop the meals on wheels thing. Was getting one hot meal a day for just $3.50. But alas, the meals are nowhere near being diabetic friendly. While they were cheap and was great no doing any prep, they shot my blood sugar way too high. Lots of rice, pasta, potatos, etc. Just too many carbs.

Found a place that delivers meals for $10 each that only has 15 net carbs per meal instead of over 100! They are more expensive and frozen, not hot like meals on wheels. But are made to easily microwave or warm in a toaster oven and are a bit fancier than the school cafeteria style meals on wheels menu. Lots of grilled chicken and fish. Besides just now getting enough balance back to be up long enough to nuke something.

Brother with MS has a cook come in once a week and prepare vegitarian meals for him and his wife and put in the freezer for $10 each. But it is pretty high carb with quite a bit of soy, and lots of beans and rice.

Will have to see how it works out price wise not having to buy nearly as many groceries.

If you have space, split a cow with someone since you already have the grill. Cows are low carb!

Used to, but got rid of Grandma's old stand up freezer I had in the garage several years ago. It was older than I am.

Dad used to go buy a calf or pig then would fatten em on Uncle Ralph's farm. Then would have em butchered and split the meat with 2 other uncles. Remeber the total cost being around $1 a pound. Uncle Ralph also had chickens. We also used the freezer for veggies and fruits from our garden and orchard. Mom also did a lot of canning. We also had a lot of crappie and bass from fishin trips. It was very very rare to eat out.

Remember hearing grandma say she would be happy when they made enough money they didn't have to eat out of the freezer.

Would love to find diabetic or keto meals on wheels for under $4 a meal.

Good luck with that Richard. When a cheeseburger is half the price or less than a salad, and the only thing cheaper is a bowl of rice or potatoes, it will be tough to find a low carb meal that is cheap.

The meals I am getting are very interesting and a lot better than just grilling a chunk of meat and steaming some veggies, or a salad. Am sure I am going to have to learn to cook this kind of stuff for myself. Especially when cooking for just one. Still seems like there would be a lot of food that would go bad unless I just had the same thing over and over for a couple of weeks.

Well, I am off to Guthrie. One of the historic cool cities in Oklahoma. Parts of the movie Rain Man were shot in downtown Guthrie.

The have an old park and we are taking it over for a car show. Not just the Porsche club, but hot rods to rat rods, VWs, BMW, and everybody else. We rolled our annual club car show into theirs to get more viewers, and the general public to see the club.

It is just really hard to find someone in the club willing to do all the hard work of organizing and running a car show. We did it for two years with the Mercedes club, and they just LOVED to have meetings, and talk about it. I have done my part for the club for over 40 years, I ain't working that hard for the club anymore.

I participate, and help some, and I am involved in the events, but I am not going to get roped into running it again.

Yea, they had a ton of classes. And they drew door prizes all day. As per usual, I won nothing at all.

I had one boy that was about 14 love my car, and he asked questions, and I even let him sit in it. Another kid that loved it was a cute little girl about 6 or 7. She told her daddy that was the car she wanted to get when she was old enough to drive. She has excellent taste.

One of the guys with a red 911 SC and a whale tail won second, and the 2011 Turbo S Cabriolet won first in the Porsche class.

I finished reassembling the interior of the Z and tested / debugged systems. It’s looking pretty good, so far. Tomorrow, I’m going to fill the clutch and brake hydraulics and bleed them. Then on to trying to fire up the car and see what else still needs to be sorted out.

Oh...please don’t hesitate to let me know if my picture is upside down.

Looks right side up. The engine or the interior is all messed up. It sure looks like the engine is in front of the steering wheel!

Is that an El Camino???

Yea, but think of the challenge!

Somehow fixing an on Japanese car is just no real challenge. You need some Lucas electrics to keep you one your toes!

Literally, as you walk back to the tow truck and to the parts stores with the Jag on the back of the two truck.
