Morning all. That seems like a crazy option to be without.

It saved a few bucks in the cost of production. My 60 Bug had a 1 gallon reserve tank. So I usually drove until the main tank ran out, and with my foot move the lever on the floor to reserve and drive to a gas station. It got 36 MPG and with 55 to 60 MPH top speed it was not a highway car.

The important thing was to remember to put the lever back in normal mode when getting gas, otherwise you wer gonna be walking. I never did forget. I have never in my life run out of gas.

We did get an inch of rain yesterday! No shorts this week, it is in the 40s and 50s.

We had a freeze last night, 30 degrees as the low.

We have one client that is a landfill operator in a nearby state. We have flown their property for many years, just after the first of the year. They have many permanent markers so all they have to do is clean off the monument, and maybe throw some white paint on it. Then they do still hire a surveyor to put in new markers in parts of the area that is new landfill. They want the bargain basement prices. So we just insist on a $100 per year bump in price as general inflation makes our costs go up. We can do it for a nice profit, and since we have the past flights on file it is super easy to set up. No doubt they use the year before data to calculate how much trash was brought in in the year for tax purposes.

Morning all. Working from home today and only a 1/2 day at that. Then it is off to help make stuffing and decorate the house for Christmas. Wife is starting early this year.

We had great weather for Thursday, but today is cold and hopefully just wet, with no freezing crap. Most of the bad pookie is supposed to stay north of us.

Morning all. Thursday was great, not many leftovers but fun with family and no mess at my house.

Its been at or below freezing here every morning since last Wednesday.

We bought a 10 pond smoked turkey. Lots of leftover turkey. Much will go into the freezer for a while.

My wife heard from her best friend for the days she was in grade school. They went to different schools after that, and lost track of each other. Anyway that lady is now three times married and divorced and living in Enid now. She is driving down today for lunch and staying the night. They have lots to catch up on.

Tow years ago my cable provider was having issues, and I had too get some equipment with I was at the outlet. The clerk said I could get a great discount if I got their telephone service as an promotional price. I told him I need a home telephone like I need a large pimple on my forehead. So took the phone box home, and stuck it in the closet. Then I marked the date on my calendar to call about it before that discount ended.

Today I called and they have new a promotional, and my bill goes down, but golly I have to give back the box of home telephone crap. They are only 3 miles away, so I can handle that.

Good morning all. We took our guest out to our favorite Cajun restaurant last night. She loved the place. This morning we went to our favorite breakfast place. So no leftover turkey consumed, and we came home with leftover Cajun food.

Morning all. I have come down with a cold. Testing negative so its just plain ole sick.

Yuck. I was sick once and hated it. I don't do that anymore, it is against my religion to be sick.

The biggest advantage I have is no little kids around.

Phew, tough work day today.

I had to drive to Wiley Post airport where the avionics shop is, to pick up my business partner, and take him to his car at the airport where we keep the airplane.

Our Cessna just came out of Annual inspection, and they said the second (backup) radio is noisy and has issues. We have a G-100 instrument cluster from the factory. No repair, just exchange with a replacement factory refurbished radio. And the right seat headphone jack is really clicking a lot on the intercom. If it was a car, I could likely do both, but we need those rather important log entries from a certified shop to make it legal.

It is in good hands.
