Yesterday's nice 65 degrees is long gone. It is 16 this morning and a wind chill of 8. The good news is no snow or ice. The bad news is is is gonna get colder over the weekend.

I am ready for spring!

That was exciting. We just had a minor earthquake. I have not seen the reports on what magnitude, but I would guess 3.5 to 4.0.

We have not had earthquakes in several years. No damage here, but it does get your attention. We had a very brief pre-quake that I thought was just a wind gust or something as it was just a bang. A few minute later, a several seconds rumble, and the floor shook and doors rattled.

We had a early 5:30 wake up earthquake as this morning. Another small one. Evidently there is a fault line between Arcadia and Edmond. They discovered that about 20 years ago. And no injection wells in the area, so just the earth moving on it's own.

We are getting light snow flurries now.

Wow, we are up to 4 degrees. It was Zero when I got up. We did get just over an inch of snow. Very dry blowing snow.

The earthquakes were officially rated at a 4.3 and later the 4.1. None since then. There were some 2.0 and such with 6 total quakes. All quiet now.

We are all the way up to 9. Windchill is -1.

I had to venture out to go to my dermatologist appointment. The roads have dry tire track for the most part, just the left turns at lights are solid packed snow, so ice. And the parking lots and neighborhoods suck. The sun is out, so the car was warm. My car's temperature gauge never got off of the peg until I will pulling into the doc's parking lot. My driveway is steep, but the El Camino just motored right up it no problem. I plan to stay home until the crap is all melted off.

Our roads are bare for now. Except one spot below me on the hill where a natural spring flows onto the street. It makes a mess of everything.

Our roads are just 67% ice covered now. Down from 93%.

67% is a safe margin to just stay home.

I wish. I have a high school friend that works at the VA he is off and I tease him about it being another fake holiday.

I get more holidays and more than a week extra PTO here than the last place. Pay is better and no travel to boot!

Actually, take home pay is better than the directors position I was in with better benefits.

Sounds good all the way around. I have maxed out the PTO/sick leave combo here. Grandfathered in when we were bought out.

Today is twice as warm as yesterday when dressed and into my office. Yesterday it was 1 and today it is 2 and the windchill is -5. We are supposed to get to the 40s tomorrow. The sun is out again, so maybe more melting of the damn snow.
