Morning all. So all the tests are in and I have an appointment with onocolgy on 1/6. Looks like its cancer. Road rage is nothing compared to this. Right now I'm on a hair trigger.

Sorry for that diagnosis. One of my good friends is going through chemotherapy now for his cancer. Hopefully they caught it early.

Good luck! That is a pretty crappy Christmas present.

Yes. Yes it does. So far the family has been a great help to the wife as I am not up to doing much. The parts for the 911 that Santa will bring might just have to wait.

Try to get into the Christmas spirit. The grand kids will want a happy granddad. No doubt it is hard to do. A positive attitude will help bring your spirits up.

And just think positive. I know it helps the body.

Morning. That is the plan. Hope to see the little guy this weekend. Most things are covered as far as food and errands for the next few days. Still able to keep the pain down with tylenol so at least I can drive places.

Good plan!

Winter is almost here, and today we have a COLD day. It is still below freezing and the sun has been up for a while. I am waiting on my wife to get done with PT. Playing UBER driver still.

I drove her Macan as the heater is amazing. The El Camino that a while to warm up.

The 911 has a great heater, but the oil temp would never get off of the peg in that short drive. I don't like to drive it on really short trips as water condensates in the oil and if the engine does not get warm, the water accumulates.

Morning all. Only getting a few hours of sleep per night. Can't wait to get this fixed and go back to sleeping like a log.

That sucks, not sleeping.

We had a Porsche club breakfast this morning. I was glad the 911 has an amazing heater. It was 24 degrees out there. It is warming up to 46 now. For some reason there was not much standing in the parking lot admiring each other cars this time. My engine oil temp just barley got above 140 degrees in the 15 minute drive.

I noticed a small alert on my printer driver. It said I needed to update the firmware on my printer. So clicked the update link, and it asked for the password. WTF, I don't use a password on my printer. Then I noticed they had instructions of finding the default password of the printer. It is "conveniently" near the very bottom of the printer, on the back side.

So I had to pull the printer forward from it's normal spot, and use a flashlight to illuminate the area and contort around to get my phone in position with the front camera, and mange to touch the exposure button. It was a little out of focus, but legible. I entered it, and it managed to download and install the new firmware. That is a first for me, to update printer firmware on my home printer.

Morning all. GK came over yesterday. Boy I had no idea what I was in for. I should have taken an extra long nap. He is 4 and I don't think Christmas can get here soon enough.

Perfect age for Santa to bring presents. I can remember back in the days of Santa coming to our house. When we lived in Hawaii when I was 5 I was worried that Santa did not have a Chimney to come down. Somehow he came in and left us presents.

The little guy thinks he is on the naughty list. Grandma told him that he was not so there.

And grandma knows best!

I bet he gets a few toys from Santa.

We "got" to go to the grocery store. Whoopeeee. We are going to my MIL's house for Christmas and Mrs. Carrera was told to bring a chocolate dessert. And we had not been to the grocery store in a while, so it was time. That chore is over.

I will likely drive the 911 to my MILs house, just to get the engine up to full operating temp so I can check the oil level. After over 1,000 miles I suspect it needs a quart. There is no way to get it to 180 degrees this time of year, but at least it will be warm enough to open the thermostat to the front cooler to get a fairly accurate oil level reading.
