We'll have to get you a blue spandex shirt with a yellow "S" on the chest, Dave, with all that time you spend in the air.

Stijn never existed. He was an internet character created for our entertainment. Like me.

We mailed, Stijn finds the lack of serious content in this thread disturbing and therefor he does not feel inclined to participate anymore.
you can find him in the tech section, on occasion.
For the rest he's busy busy, getting the house painted, new windows and stuff.
He says hi to y'all.

Can we ask Wayne to change the name of this thread??
If yes,

any suggestions??

To honor our friend Stijn, we should rename the thread "Say, who are you calling a Dutchie?"

No serious content!!!!

How can anything get more seroius than this thread ?

I figure "The thread formerly known as Stijn." makes the most sense.

I second 'the thread formerly known as stijn'
Sitting at an auction, posting from my droid, waiting for an improperly identified 18th century chinese pocket sundial to come up.

Now how much more content can a thread get.

Where else can you read "waiting for an improperly identified 18th century chinese pocket sundial to come up"

Maybe the guy "formerly known as stijn" who used to post in this thread just is just lazy.

Well hows this for some serious content

My old high school buddy's father died yesterday, completely unexpectedly. I dunno how yet. He was 58.

He was a one of my high school teachers. Man was a great inspiration and motivator in my life.
I've got a glass of scotch and some Sinatra on. I'm pretty shaken up right now.

Morning, you eloquent, serious, gentlemen!

I can relate to Stijnīs absence. I have had no interest in participating for several periods. I believe it has to do with whats going on in our lives. When preoccupied with job, house, spouses, kids, dogs, cats, bimbos and what not, there is no time and motivation.

Maybe Stijns absence says more about the rest of us. Stijn has got a life!

I concur. "The Thread Previously Known As Stijn" is brilliant. As an alternative I would suggest "Fluffers Corner".

I don't really care if this thread has serious content or not. Sometimes it gets plenty serious, most of the time it is just good fun.
Since I log on to PP on a daily basis it is not much effort for me to come and say hi over here.
It's funny, but over time I have come to appreciate you slackers and I do kinda miss the guys that post very little, but hey, such is life.

Dunno if Wayne's gonna change the name of the thread for us thuogh.

What is this "life" you're talking about?

I had a busy day in the real world.

The Porsche club had a autocross and that was fun. I got home and cleaned up the 911.

The wife & I went to the grocery store and bought the goodies for dinner. We invited my dad and two other family friends over for a steak dinner & home made ice cream. I grilled the steaks to perfection, and the ice cream was creamy and smooth.

Autocross was fun Glen... It was just too damned hot.... I swear it felt like my sticky tires were getting all soft on me... I was fighting it on the east end...
