It's difficult to beat a go cart (hopped up 914) at an autocross.

I love to autocross but I like to make road trips in my 911. I have been to California twice, Hershey PA, Chicago, North Carolina, several other places and soon Georgia. With a road car I refuse to make a autocross special stripper. My 911 has air conditioning that works, cruise control, electric seats and real good heat. I will never have FTD but I just don't care anymore. I autocross only to have fun. If I really wanted to run with the big boys I would get a new C-4 911 or turbo and have more comfort and way more go fast. I like having a car I can work on and that has no payments so I will stick with my long paid for 26 year old car.

Evening guys. Welp I spent most of the weekend cleaning, like dismantle the furniture and clean it type of thing. Got lots of hardwood scrubbed, wax is next. Damn I need a vacation, or at least better hobbies.

I need to build up some days for my visit in September.
With my three weeks in July, two weeks at the end of the year, and my three weeks in September, I was out of days off.... After today, I need another half a day and then I'm break even....

Yesterday was a lazy day for me. We had a full day of rain. YEA! It is the first real soaking rain we have had in 6 months. We went to the movies and then just hung out around the house.

Back to working on the monster files.

It's just been heavy mist here since Sunday am...

Yea, it is strange. Western OK is getting almost no rain. Here in central OK we got decent rain and in eastern OK there is flooding. The downtown Arts Festival starts tomorrow. That always seems to bring rain. I may have to sneak down there and graze through the food court. It is a good time, eat some good food, look at some nice but expensive art and some stupid ugly non art, then eat some more. If the weather turns warm there is always some good girl watching.

heh.... i beat two of them in my class. by two seconds. i keep trying to get them to make the courses more technical, but the one 914 owner wants it to 'flow'. thus there are routinely areas of the course where my car will hit at least 50, sometimes 70.

you would think that he would change the course so that you could not hit those speeds.
