No wonder my toe stopped bleeding so quickly the other night. The cotton part of the band-aid missed the cut. I taped it shut. Oh well, works for me.

Lol, well at least it is closed.
I have followed first aid courses that taught that when you have a cut that bleeds heavily and you have no bandages, you can even use regular loctite glue...

Um, I'd think twice about using loctite...

Super glue is what you mean. It was originally developed for surgery and is still used. The stuff we get in the store is just not medical grade.

In case of emergency of course. To stop excessive bleeding. Loctite, superglue, same thing no? At least over here it is.

C'mon, admit it, you're a vampire or something...

Gotta run into town and pick up new washer and dryer for the daughter, then help Beth get her vehicle ready for the turn in on monday, then get to cleaning as we have about 200 people heading this way in 2 weeks.

The stuff is called Dermabond. It comes in little single-use vials about the size of half a cigarette. Out of curiosity I asked someone in the office to look up how much it costs. A box of 12 costs about $480.

The cost of most medical grade stuff like that is so high because of INSURANCE.

Used to be involved with a medical product called a vena cava filter. It is a device used to capture blood clots on the way to the brain. It was the first one and was manufactured at a cost of $25 and sold for $75 sterile in the 70's. Medical law suits were getting more common so the company sold the rights to the product. The other company repackaged it as non-sterile and raised the price to $500 to cover the cost of insurance against law suits.

ok so you are back to your old self. Good. Not a smartphone but vines and canes removed from a hill side on my lot. Goats are eating all the green but we will have the cut and remove the canes.

Spent the day (not working) but being chased by storms in the mountains in the Boxster. The house we found a few weeks ago is back on the market so we ran over there for a decent walk through.
