The thunderstorms look like they are coming Sid's way. The tornado is in between Sid's house and mine. It is being tracked precisely by the radar & storm chasers. We only got a little rain so far today. Right now it looks like it will go around our house completely. Sid's area may get some rain & thunder. Ho Hum.

I can tell where the tornado is mile by mile, minute by minute. TV coverage goes full time, no commercials, no breaks just weather.

Wow, they are interviewing a woman that just had her carport destroyed. Her house is OK. The totally amazing part is the woman can speak English and looks like a normal person. Usually the TV folks try to find the toothless moron that will say the same thing every-time. "I seed it coming over dat hill over dare and it blowed down my mobile home"

I'd been drinking since Friday afternoon so I not only agreed with her I thought she was hot. And so did the rest of the drunks at the Parking Lot party.

It was great fun, one of the guys set up a video projector and was playing a live Eagles concert. At this 928 event there is an open bar in the parking lot from Friday afternoon till the last man standing Sunday morning.

Sounds like a wilde time Richard.

The Tornado warning is gone. The storm has disapated. The lacal news is still on talking about. The guy from Discovery channel that tries to drive his vehicle into a tornado managed to drive into another tornado. I wish they would shut up and cut to the national news.

See what happens when Richard goes on vacation! Two earthquakes and multiple long track tornados.

I think Richard must be Dr Evil from Austin Powers.

i've been toying with the idea of buying a BMW 840 or 845 (i don't want to deal with the v12 850) as cheaply as possibly and stripping the interior and all the sound proofing. i bet that would be a wicked fast ride. again, it will be difficult selling the wife on the idea and may require the sale of the 951, which i am not sure i am willing to do.

The weather report said the tornado path was over 100 miles long. Nothing too bad.

There are 3 or four of these 928 group gatherings a year. They are put on by the 3 928 parts suppliers and the 928 owner's club. Always a great time because they are a great bunch of people.

There is a similar Boxster event in September called Boxstoberfest in Fredricksburg TX. The big fun on these events is the drive through the Texas Hill Country.

I drove my 951 to a boxstoberfest and was more than welcomed. I don't think a 951 guy would be kicked out of the 928 fun. Last year there was a 997 Turbo, and this year there was a guy and his wife in a 512BB. The 512BB guy had to let everyone droll on his car for a while when he first arrived.

Dave, is there anything you can shim or shorten to get the rod in tension? I am not familiar with guitar construction so forgive the ignorant question.

okay, after some minimal research, the 928 is a better car than the 8 series BMW for what i want to do. and cheaper.
