Dern, went to fire up the rotor tiller to play in the dirt and it barely turns over and won't start. Looks like it has lost it's spark.

Guess I will be trying to remember all that stuff I knew back when I was a teenager keeping my mowers running to mow yards. Hope I don't need any parts. This tiller is about 40 years old.

Hmm. Weekly progress reports. I am starting off way behind since I got back from the shop at 11:30.

Yeah, Dave's definately favored to win.

Max, I thought about this so that we both have a good chance to be winners. It hopefully will allow us to both accomplish important goals, life events. I have made my fair share of excuses for why I have not finished my license yet. So have you.

Sell yourself short from the beginning and you set yourself up to lose.

Are you freakin' kidding me? All you have to do is ask a chick to have coffee (or a Jamba Juice or a hot chocolate). (OK, and at least actually sit down with her and have it.) That's that impossible?

You don't have to be creepy about it. Heck, ask some chick if she wants to go on a hike (daytime activity = less formal dating stress) or play some tennis or check out some museum (there's gotta be some sort of museum on campus, right?) or try some restaurant she's never tried before but professes that she's always wanted to...

No, I have to actually have a meaningful conversation or date-like activity together with her to win. Much more than asking.

No campus museums that I know of.

Hiking on Bishop's Peak sounds good.

No, I said no formal date.

I just want you to go to some coffee house, buy a drink, you both say "Um...So..." Sip, sip, sip.. Okay, bye! I did not set a time for the meaningful conversation, but more than 5 minutes.

The phone number will be difficult and I realize now, that asking you to get "her" number may be unfair, since women are not so willing to hand out their number and with reason. I was thinking of that so you could set a time if "now" wasn't going to work for the casual coffee.

Every activity I listed above qualifies as sufficiently date-like (but not necessarily so, at the same time). Like I said, you don't have to be desperately creepy about it. Make it sound nonchalant, if that makes you more comfortable. Hang out for a bit. Talk (because you're spending time together). Boom, that satisfies the requirements set forth by Dave. And, if you two hit it off, you can make it a habit to spend time with each other.

Sorry, this was just an example. Go for a hike, talk and it qualifies as well. Or anything else, bowling, whatever.

Yeah.

I kept on with the coffee theme and didn't want Max, to think that was the only option.

A meaningful conversation with bimbo could be as little as "hey, what's your favorite color".

Just watch some reruns of Jersey Shore to numb the brain and get in the right mind set.
Only a fool would loose this bet from SLOOO Dave.

No, like I said, it has to be longer than that.

Thanks, Stijn! Just fuels the fire for my part in this challenge!
