Here's one of the nurses I work with:

Don't you have any pics from your hike?

No. She brought her camera but only took a picture of the poison oak for reference. I didn't take any pictures since we never really stopped and while walking I was trying to avoid the poison oak that was overhanging the narrow trail. I of course had shorts on. I don't like poison oak rashes.

Her camera was much better than mine.

She did accept the friend request on facebook but she does not post much there apparently.

Plus I did not have any official model release forms for her to sign in triplicate.

BTW: you're a pretty s**tty photographer, Max. When you go hiking with cute girls, the camera's supposed to be pointed the other direction.

So after going around in circles about what band/songs to write about I think I will go with the Amboy Dukes. Journey to the Center of the Mind and something from Call of the Wild if that is allowed since it is actually '73. I will probably look for some other good songs from the 60's.

If that fails I will do Jefferson Airplane. Or Chicago Transit Authority. Or Santana...

That was from my hike in the morning when I got lost on Cerro San Luis. The walk in the afternoon I did not take any pics.

It would have been nice to get lost with her in the morning, but she was not up for a more strenuous hike.

When I was working on the oil line I was using the mega macho big bad man tools. A 36, 32 & 30 mm wrench. I went to tighten up one of the straps that hold the oil lines down and it is a standard 10 mm. That felt like a watch repair tool after tugging on the big wrenches.

This summer is going to be a blast. My kid is going to do the Live it Out Loud summer band thing again. Well one of our local bands we like will be his mentor. The little stinker is planning to cover one of theor songs at the first jam.

Big wrenches are fun. Most everything on the SAE car is 7/16ths but things like the castle nut for the axles require a ginormous wrench. Also got to use a big ol' crow bar for some things.

Crow bar is a hooked iron bar with a chisel on the the straight end and a nail puller on the hooked, often called a pry bar. Maybe you used a big ol' breaker bar instead.

Did you get a crowbar?
No, but I got a crispy crunch and a mocha delight.

Don't forget your speakers.

No, it was a crow bar. The chassis did not end up looking like the drawings, or even symmetrical. We had non-welders welding it. So some of the bolt holes did not quite line up...

I also learned to appreciate crescent wrenches. They fit most bolt heads, can be used to lever up a stuck bolt, and 'tap' a bolt into a tight hole.

This year we are going to start working on it much earlier so that that does not happen again.

I grew up calling adjustable wrenches Cresent wrenches. All of the ones I ever saw had "Cresent" on it and we didn't have any other tools with Cresent on them so why not. Well, a couple of years ago At a 928 event I was given a very nice 200 piece Cresent tool set from one of owners of the Cresent tool company. Every one of the tools EXCEPT the adjustable wrench had the name "Cresent" embazened on it. The adjustable wrench just has 'Heavy Duty" on it. Funny. He didn't even know.

When I was in the Navy, I learned from my shipmates to call them Crescent hammers. They're much more versatile than simply being an adjustable wrench.
