well, i promptly screwed up my first batch of .223 loads. figures. i did the same thing, more or less, with my first batch of .308. that means i get to pull the bullets on the first 20 or so. i may just discard them, as buying a bullet puller will be more expensive, along with my time.

basically, the bullets i purchased, a-max in 75 grain, cannot be loaded to magazine length. thus, the bullets i loaded are at 2.26 OAL and need to be at 2.39 OAL, which is a significant difference. i thought they looked odd.... ah, well. live and learn. at least i didn't damage myself or my rifle.

There were too many people signed up for the SBC methanol conversion (700hp) and this engine has an MFI pump.

The other projects are an electric vehicle battery changing system and a Di-Methyl Ether conversion for a diesel generator.

It is all really interesting stuff, along with figuring out steering and suspension geometry that works with the constraints our FSAE car has.

I tend to zone out a lot, just looking at the mountains and thinking about stuff. Feels like I am outside the world looking in or something like that. It is pretty far-out.
Wow, all I did today was this

Ain't that the truth. It'd be a beotch to replace the AR. I went by their local shop/range on Saturday and they were out of ARs with no idea of when they'd restock.........

Sid, don't forget to go over it with some of their clear gloss so it doesn't look flat.

Been thinking of trying the temporary car bra thing with that plasti-dip stuff.
Pretty interesting, You can wash it yet it still peels off. I think you can even wax the clear gloss stuff.

It has to protect better than the duplicolor stuff I used a coupla years ago.
The dipyourcar.com guys told me they have over 1000 user doing the clear bra thing using it.

Yep, having problems sleeping. None of the positions I can get in that elevate the foot are comfortable enough to fall asleep. I end up drugging myself out, and that really isn't very restful. As long as I stay horizontal and don't try to do anything the foot does better. If I get up and do anything, even with a walker and not putting any weight on the foot, it swells and gets red, then hurts all the next day.

To make matters worse, my Mom's dementia is getting much worse. Really frustrated because I can see that not being able to get up and around to guide her through doing things makes it worse faster. If she stops doing something, she loses her ability to do that thing. It is literally, "Use it or lose it."

For example when I was ambulatory I would take her to the grocery store to get our groceries twice a week. She would push the cart and we would walk every isle from one end of the store to the other. Took an hour. Since my foot thing nobody in my family has taken the time to do this with her. The result is now she can just barely walk across the room.
