That sounds like the cable company. "Our repair man will be there between 12:00 and 5:00, you wait right there and we will call at 4:55 and say he was delayed and will have to re-schedule"

The gas fire place. I tried to clean it as posted above (way back) but no joy. Its gas to rather than blow up the house I'd rather pay to have it fixed.

i hear ya, joe. i am over the 15F weather.

hey, glen.

so, i replaced the donut gasket again on the subie. at first the leak was worse. then i drove it around and it seems to have sealed up. i'll have to keep an eye on it.

when i pried the old gasket off, it took some material from the original gasket with it. i cleaned it up really good and then used some scotch brite to get it even cleaner. thus, you guys were right: some of the old material was still stuck on there and preventing a good seal. thanks!

Hehe. I was only thinking about Fanny the other day. I follow the world cup a bit on cable, and haven't seen her this season. Always had a little giggle whenever she was at the gate and her name popped up.
