Get off my lawn!
|
Well.....
I broke down and bought a iPhone 5. My old iPone4 was out of contract so i was eligible. There was nothing really wrong with the old phone but I wanted a new toy. My old phone was a 32 gig version and almost full, so I went for the 64 gig version. It is amazing to think I can haul around 50 gigs of "stuff" just because it fits. I ordered an Otter box and extra 6 ft cables several weeks ago so I got those for cheap.

i remember waiting for hours, literally, for the doctor when i was a kid. that is probably most of the reason i still refuse to go to the doctor: it is a pavlovian response.

Yea, as a kid it was never a Dr office it was the base hospital and wait in line. I remember sitting in a hall with a high fever and they finally were going to call us next. In walked an a active duty officer. He went right in and we got to wait longer.

Pretty sure my house and all of my stuff is getting ready to blow away out there.
I don't wanna go to work tomorrow but, it's a big day for my 944 and I need a piece of paper that I of course left on my desk.

I haven't titled her yet because she had no title, I went through the VA abadoned vehichle process to obtain one and the waiting period is up! She'll be official. Her story checks out. Born in NJ spent 40k miles there before coming to RVA where she had a new owner that got her to 127k miles when a guy bought it to strip it and there it has sat, untitled and unloved....he never bothered to title it and had lost all of the records over the years.

Do you guys have your older cars registered as antiques(or w/e the state equivalent is) or just a regular registration?

When I had the 73E, it was registered as a regular vehicle in VA. When we moved into DC, I decided to register it as a historic vehicle.

Just the regular one in VA. I don't think there is any advantage to do otherwise.

That was my thinking, too. In DC, it was a one-time inspection upon first titling/registering it in the District. It made sense then to go historic.

The Stick

Went to my primary care doc today. I register at the front desk, sit down, pull out my iPhone, play 3 cards off solitaire and they call my name. Go to room get my vitals taken by the nurse. She says doc will be in in a few seconds, as the door closes, he opens it and walks in. Every time I've been to see this Doc it's been the same way. I just hate Offices that obviously over schedule and make people wait so long.

i've had some fairly terrible visits as an adult, too. however, more recently, going to the dentist or the dr. has been fairly quick, if not painless.
