In all reality, we could do with it too. We've had a massive 36mm for the year - our average to March is 115mm.

As Azzy said a few days ago, we're looking very dry at the moment.

Bugger me, I have to laugh at the latest BS from these HR wallies. The latest HR overhead calls itself SHE (Saftey Health and Environment). A pending chemical audit has them running around banging into each other like lemmings at the moment.

Their current focus is small caches of chemicals on workbenches (isopropyl alcohol, flux, solder, etc). We're talking a few hundred grams or milliliters of each, not liters or kilograms. The justification is fire safety.....Diiicckheads!. That 5hit has nothing on it in comparison to the furniture and fixings in a fire that'll have the room/building in meltdown within 5 minutes.

That hazmat chemicals in the workplace regulation is nerts.

In our shop, basically lathes machining cast iron, and steel some using coolants some not, but most leak hydraulics. Used floor dry for decades and kept the shop nice and clean. Along came hazmat and the waste stream had to be processed. Barrels of liquid cost less than barrels of solids so they switched from using floor dry to mopping, with water. cast iron, mild steel, hydraulic fluids, do any of these sound like they get along with water? The shop was filthy nasty dirty in weeks and has only gotten worse.

I talked to the Hazmat consultant, (a college friend of mine) the processes changed and the cost is the same per barrel for both solid and liquid waste. AND using floor dry you can effectively remove 14 times more waste. Yet they are so locked into the paperwork to support the hazmat regulation our hazmat staff have not gone back to using floor dry.

Stijn!!

The hasmat stuff is often silly. The fire department does not want us to park a car in the airplane hangar. They claim a car is a fire hazard. The airplane has 10 times more gas in it. When our pilot goes on a trip it is nice to park the car inside.

Made up ones are the best. ^^

I used to "heavily" use the names of F1 drivers. Throw a few Michael Schumachers Mika Häkkinens and Kimi-Matias Räikkönens around when something doesn't go well. It does get some strange looks from people who don't know, some think when I say Schumi I meant to say something else.

Tweeze, I spent a lot of time in photo shop making an outfit like that for a character in Knights of Old Republic once I learned how to extract stuff to mod. It killed the game for me as I kept getting distracted. Ended up deleting it so I could go back to being productive.

Having a co worker who loves to fish is affording me some more time to fish... We caught our limit of trout on Friday.

Just got off the phone with dueller. He had a stroke on Saturday. Sounds like he is on the mend now though and will make a full recovery.

I need to get out fishing again soon.

My neighbor and I have a sweet spot on the beach where we can catch double limit on spotted sea trout each in under an hour. We hit there then have a fish fry for the 'block'.....it's just 5 houses.

We've also got a spot on a Tidal marsh where the small redfish are 3ft.....can't keep em, but they're a hell of a fight. They're all out in deeper water right now though, until it warms up.

Crappy weather! Zero visibility in places...had to drive 35 on the back roads. Even though I left early...almost missed the train. Ran the length of the parking lot in ankle deep slush and made it.

My wife is sitting next to me...so that would kill me faster than a heart attack. I guess a little train nap is on order...but the restroom on this car...or maybe another passenger, smells so bad that it might be difficult.

Howdy folks. It is for sure a Monday.

The worst of all fates today. I had to get dressed up for court. Yuck.,

Today I go stand before a judge so we (the judge and myself) sign the letters of testamentary. I will have full control of dad's estate after that.

Besides having to get dressed up I was told to not bring any mace, pepper spray, pocket knives, guns, bombs, drugs, brass knuckles or any of the stuff I normally carry in my pockets.
