That's always a plus. Not a lot of people can do that anymore these days.

Tweeze, while I spent a lot of my life in the military flying, all my education as well as my favorite avocation is in finance and economics. I have also owned (and do own) businesses.

There are some very simple rules in finance that people ignore at their own peril. At the top of the list is emotional investing: Doing the wrong thing financially for the "right" emotional reason(s), which nearly always involve family and friends...or a Porsche

It is clear that your sister is a poor financial risk or she would not need your support on the rental document.

My advice is to not make your decision about you or her, make it about the ultimate bogey-man, the rules of finance. Tell her: I need to re-establish a financial position in the next 8 months to two years and that precludes me from helping at this time. My financial adviser has recommended that I not extent myself on any contractual documents beyond those I already have.

Whether or not you have a financial adviser is moot, the message is true.

Enjoy A-B...I skied there a ton in the late 70's, early 80's. Probably my favorite little 13 thousand foot plus hill

Afternoon Seahawk, lurking in the background.

Did a little tour around some of the Amish places today with the Pax Wives Club, nice bunch of ladies, had a great day, bought lovely fresh bread, a beautiful chopping board and Lazy Susan for the table, and some yummy honey and jams. Lovely day with friends.

School bus...The one in my neighborhood used to stop at every freakin house, AND wouldn't give give cars the opportunity to go around at any point either.

The driver would stop with the little sign out so you couldn't go round, then after the kid got on immediately pull out driving down the middle of the street to the next house no matter how many cars were lined up behind. I finally got very impatient and shot around as soon as she started rolling again. Am sure that pissed her off. A few days later I got a letter that she had reported me for passing a stopped school bus while kids were loading. I fired a letter right back explaining I was all for kids safety but this driver was stopping a every house along a 1/2 mile long street and not providing any opportunity for cars to pass. And how that was making it unsafe for the kids because after 3 or 4 stops drivers lose their patience especially if they were trying to get to work on time. The next time I got behind the school bus she not only provided an opportunity for cars go around after the kids got on, she was making a LOT fewer stops.

I do not co-sign for anyone. My credit is already extended so far it would not help if I did (at least that's my story). My Dad always told me that if I needed someone to cosign, I was extending myself too much and needed to find something cheaper I could get without a cosigner.

I also never loan money to anyone. I will however give money to someone that really needs it if I can afford to give the amount away. I then tell them it is a gift, that I am happy I can afford to help them, and paying it back is their option. Everyone always says they will pay it back. And of all the people I have gifted money to like that only one relative never paid me back. I, of course, can never seem to afford any amount he asks for now. He just always seems to ask only when I am strapped for cash.

Did you take the 911?

Good on you for getting out into the local community, C, but you have that talent...stop by with Steve when you guys get the chance. Jack will be back next week and Arden a few weeks later.

Evening Y'all, I am glad this week is over.
I had a great customer today that told me I WASN'T going to be rejecting his car, and he drew back at me.
I told him I was going to lose one of my L.P.C.'s in his back side. My boss busted out laughing and walked away making some comment about knowing a good lawyer and having bail cash in his pocket.
The customer walked away very quiet

Now now the customer is always right. Just might not get it on time or as cheap as he wanted but right.

Once we had a customer try to TELL us how he had the right to look at our negative archive. We explained we were a private business and those negatives belonged to the company and no one else. We told him we charge $1000 per minute for customers to browse our files. That price was over due for a rate increase if he wanted to push the issue. He stomped out and insisted he would get the images from someone else. Then he discovered no one else on this planet has them. We charged him the same price as everyone, but we were not real fast with his order.
