If anyone you know tries to be an engineer, just load them up with dilbert books.

The only thing I regret now is I still have to work with them. Not actually being one, priceless.
You realize that the only reason they hired you was because they craved feminine companionship...and are too geeky to get a date. It is lonely when you are over 40, the Star Trek convention is over and Mom makes you move out of the basement.

My boss keeps calling me an engineer. I keep saying bite-me, technician has much more prestige.

Morning ladies and gents

Lol...I thought you knew engineers...

Engineers don't need anybody at work...they already know and can do everything them self.

Despite their self pronounced genius, they are socially inept and are ignored or ridiculed by women...and live at home with their mother and spend most of their time at Star Trek/War conventions or their mother's basement playing video games on the Internet and hacking into the Whopper (SAC Missile Defense Computer/Satellite System)

I can't make this stuff green on my cell phone...it would take a real engineer to do that.

When my son was growing up, I told him to be anything he wants, except an engineer! Thankfully, he became a doctor.

I started to use doctors as another bad example...

My daughter narrowed her choices to engineering and medicine. She is a doctor now.

I shifted my career to engineering mgmt.
I have been mostly a manager myself (chief engineer type)...and now almost purely administrative/mgt. I interpret between hard core engineers and normal people.
