Thanks for the warm thoughts guys. It is just hard to believe that scouting in our area has lost two great men in the last year. They both were so dedicated to advancing scouting and never asked a thing in return.

It is strange to think that my dad(far left) is the only man from this photo still alive. Jeff in the center passed last August after a long struggle with Myeloma. He was in remission when this picture was taken in 2010 and they were helping to rebuild a bridge at the local scout camp. Charlie on the right passed last night. I still don't have the full details of what happened, but I know that he had been having heart trouble last year and had been through some surgeries, but this was some sort of brain infection. Both of them left behind middle school aged children.

I understand life ain't fair, but these were two of the most giving men I've known, couldn't they have stayed a little longer?

He already told me I could do anything I wanted as long as i wore "the boot". Learned real quick I can't do much without painful repercussions.

Now comes the really fun part...getting my strength and endurance back and dropping the weight I gained from sitting on my back side for a year.

Good morning folks.

Another rainy cool July day. The heat will return for the weekend.

Our autocross is going to be this coming Saturday. It is supposed to be in the 90s by afternoon. With all the rain the humidity will be brutal.

Morning y'all.

Had to put my beloved Deuce down yesterday. Best dog ever he went downhill quick. We had a 9 great years with him. Our other AmStaff puppy is beside herself and not eating.

Sorry to hear Janet. It is tough to lose a pet. It is tough on the other dogs as well.

It is a shame dogs live such short lifes.

Condolences on losing your mentors Sid. Neither looked old enough, but sounds like they lived full lives.

Condolences on losing a family pet. Still miss not having my first dog around any more. She was my best bud for 17 years.
