Good luck with your schedule, Rick. I need to get through the next few days at w*!%. Totally swamped. And my evenings are getting slammed, too. Two weeks until I can flee this place for the west coast.

Morning.

Chucked a sickie today - hurt my back yesterday lifting heavy stuff.

Picked out my deck chair for the Darwin trip in November.

Sorry about your back, it sucks to get old. As for a seat, I'll take that open spot in the whirlpool over there on the left side

Morning guys.... Time to study, got a marketing research test in two hours....

It's getting really hard to focus on this college stuff since I've started the application and interview process for a full time job.... I see the light, and I'm running towards it!!!

Stijn!!

That's ironic because I would love to be in school right now. Real life sucks sometimes...
Had a crappy day yesterday. Scratched my cornea several times and now my eye is swollen and hurts like a booger. I look like someone punched me in the eye minus the black and blue bruising but add in constant tearing. Had a sales presentation right after it happened. Kind of irked because my boss who was with me and never asked if I felt up to it, if I could even see and in fact, turned around and said, "I am not going to say a lot today and gonna let you run with it." Mind you this is after stopping in the ER because urgent care wasn't open. I did it. Went ok but kind of irked with the lack of concern or empathy.

I am one of those people who will work my butt off for you and stay loyal to the bitter end if I feel like you care about me. But if you don't give a crap about me... Well...

I had a college coach who would tell us how lucky we were: that all we had to worry about was studying. Enjoy the moment, Sid. It goes by very quickly.

Sorry 'bout your eye, tweeze. I think you need to let Sidney look into it to make you feel better.

Right? I tell Sidney that all the time.

And I am not with Sidney anymore. Back in AZ. Went straight from OKC to Denver for work and now back home. Good thing is I get to see my boys again. My oldest got artist of the month. So proud of him!

You should get an eye patch and do the presentation talking like a Pirate!

Sorry about your eye. That sucks to have a watering sore eye. BTDT, don't want to do it again.

I actually thought about that. Thought my timing was off. might have actually done it for the opening but alas, my pirate speaking abilities suck.

OK, today the street in front of my house is closed. They're resealing the pavement, or something like that. Two days ago, on Monday, they tacked up signs up and down the street, warning of this and closing the street from 6 am until 6 pm. Cars would be towed, the signs threatened.

Fortunately for me, it's just a minor inconvenience. But what if I was out of town for a few days and had parked my car in the street? With only 2 days' notice, I would have pretty pissed about the impoundment.

My next-door neighbors were gone on a cruise for 10 days. Thank goodness this resealing dealio didn't occur last week. My neighbors left one car in the street. They asked us to do little things like look out for mail/door-hung flyers/etc. But they didn't leave us with a key to their house (or cars). We never thought something like this would come up. This is a residential neighborhood where there are far more street parking spaces than cars. You can park your car in the same spot for a month and no one would care.

It's the Asian accent that throws it off, huh?
