Morning all.

This is gonna be a tough day for a diet.

I am off to the PCA club breakfast that is normally on the first weekend on the month. This month is got pushed to the second Saturday because of the fall driving tour last weekend. The El Camino breakfast is at 10:00 so I have to leave the PCA breakfast and go to the Elky club breakfast. Then at 4:30 we are taking our neighbors to Okarchee, OK to Eichen's. It is the oldest bar in Oklahoma and they are mostly famous for their fried chicken. They don't have plates, or silverware just a slab of wax paper to put the food on. They only take cash and there is always a line to find a table.

Glen forgot to mention they only sell their fried chicken by the chicken, no parts or pieces, white or dark, just a whole chicken at a time.

just buy a cheap used PC laptop, strip all the software and crap you don't need off of it. $100.

or, if you'll pay shipping, i'll build you PC from parts i have in my basement and put a copy of XP on it.

then, you go to the thrift store and buy a mouse and keyboard for five bucks and an old school CRT monitor for two fins and you have a PC for the garage.

Got the oil pan off tonight too.
i'll play.

the CV boot is cut, not ripped. it looks like something might have gotten between the body of the car and axle. also, the axle is pulled too far away from the transaxle. i believe there is a circlip in there somewhere that failed or came off.

the front coilover: the top collar is not in place and someone forgot to use a retaining spring to keep the assembly from over-extending when the car is lifted.

Burp.

Just one breakfast. It was a tasty omelet with a side of pancakes. At the second place I just had tea and a conversation on how to solve the world's problems. If the world would let us rule the world we could fix things in a just few days.

As Richard mentioned at Eishen's the only choice is what beer to have with your chicken, and if you want another beer. The flood is covered with sawdust and the décor is not fancy.

Looks like there were around 200 cars participating in the PCA Palooza in Eureka Springs Arkansas this weekend.

Sure wished I could have made the 928 GTG in Marble Falls last weekend. They had just over 100 928s show up. There was a very nicely done LS1 and six speed conversion there also.

They started this project with a pristine interior from a car that was wrecked at 2000 miles then barned. The body was too bent so they got another car and stripped it to bare metal. Took the two guys one year. Their next project is to put a Turbocharged 5 liter Toyota V12 with a 6 speed in another one.

Just had that happen to me tonight, too. Actually, 1 --> 3. I had just put the baby to sleep in my arms. Maybe 60 seconds into his sleep. He had been crying non-stop for the 30 preceeeding minutes. Just then, my wife called home, the kids answered, and got permission for a friend (who's here playing) to stay over. Two little girls came running down the stairs and burst into the baby's room excitedly to relay the good news. Baby of course woke up and returned to crying inconsolably.

Actually, I think you meant I lose.

I've gotta replace the fuel accumulator on the 911, too. I replaced the fuel filter a few months back and it seemed to take care of the intermittent no-start issue (which usually happened with a warm motor). But the problem started up again and my cheap-a$$ self finally gave in and bought a fuel accumulator.

Gotta love old cars.
Okay I just had a frigging heart attack. The seven year old was laying with the el cheepo organ and decided he wanted to play one of my guitars. Oh that didn't go over well. (for me)

Back from the fancy eating place.

Burp. Notice the fancy dining plates and silverware. The place was packed as usual.

Ditto. One of my favorite foods is fried chicken. I should have been born in the south. I love all that southern cooking. I would kill for one of those pieces right now. Trying to eat healthy. It's running season.

My black girlfriend from Alabama told me once that I should have been born black and that my black name would be "tweesha".

They were so busy that after we placed our order it was 1:10 minutes before they could bring us our chicken. The kitchen stays slammed and the place was full of people waiting to find an open table.
