In my mail this afternoon was my insurance renewal. Sam policy, same everything. My 911 has an agreed value policy that I submitted an appraisal for. it is insured as a toy, not a daily driver but I am allowed to drive it to work on a pretty day on occasion. I can drive it to work if my El Camino is under repair at a shop. Anyway my policy renewal comes in at 20 bucks per month. YEA.

I do have my wife's car and my Elky and the house with the same company. 66 cents per day is not bad for a toy.

If this were the 70's and early 80's I bet people would be plotting to streak the Google street view.

There is way more than one google street view camera vehicle.

Evening Y'all.
I had a sinus headache, due to being congested a while ago that I thought was going to push my teeth out. I have a few posts in some of my upper teeth that are 30mm long, the dentist warned me about some "discomfort"

fark....bah humbug.....merry god damn crapmas to me....

Lady in front of the lady in front of me slammed on brakes... I hit the lady in front of me, she hit the lady in front of her.....They both drove away..... my bumper is mangled, hood bent, right quarter panel crumpled, right headlight assembly shoved back, shattered and the HID bulb nearly caught the whole car on fire....airbag deployed....and radiator went kaput.....I know what these parts cost and have a good idea what labor looks like......guess I'm in the market for a new play car.....likely be an XK Convert or a Boxster.

Man Joe I am sorry to hear about that. Personal experience but I would seriously look at a Boxster, the fun factor is way off the charts, they are reliable, easy to work on and get decent mileage.
On that note I just spent an hour packing mine for the weekend trip, both trunks are slam packed and my overnight bag is gonna be riding on top of the upper engine cover in the back glass (plastic)

When I pack my 911 I pack every corner and crook. I can get two weeks of luggage for two people in there. Plus car wash stuff and a helmet and tool bag.

I am actually fairly good at packing the 911, nowhere as skilled as attaining a "Glen level" but I am always amazed at how much you can fit in that little car

My collectors insurance on my 81 Landy is just about the same price and same terms..... I'm allowed to drive it 7500 miles per year......and that policy is independant of all my others.

I've driven both in several different generations of their development and with the exception of a very well set up XKR, the Boxster is by far more fun to drive. Of course, even and old XKR set up that way would run twice the cost of a decent boxster. The thing that has me split is the interior and ride quality while cruising. It's night and day between the two...

I just did a rough pricing of what I could immediately see wrong and at the prices I get from the dealer (lower than Geico can) it's over 6k in damage (their price will be closer to 9).....plus paint.....and labor, so likely the repair bill the adjuster sees will be somewhere in the 15-17 range....The cars only realistically worth 14-15 at a dealer in this market.

Evening guys... Got my car on the lift thinking it had a small crack in the exhaust. Once I pulled it off it was cracked almost all the way around. Got it all welded up, so hope that helps the exhaust smell issue I've been having!

HA, I've had a few of those moments where I thought it was just minorly broken, then get to looking at it and it's completely gone!.....Actually, that's exactly what happened with a vacuum leak at the carb to intake manifold on my Rover.....Had to strop the mating surfaces down before even a gasket would fix it! Stupid Zenith 36IV carbs can drive a man mad......they say Joseph Lucas lent his services to Zenith for the design of that one...

Just hope the 92 Range Rover keeps together long enough that I can recover from the medical bills for my foot and save enough to pay cash for a Cayenne S. A few are selling for below $10K.

Maybe I could start a web site for RKD foot aide to raise money for medical bills with before and after pictures.

Ha ha ha…

When Mom looks in the cabinet where the cookies and crackers are and there aren't any cookies, well, there just isn't a thing to eat in the house. Fridge and other cabinets are FULL, there are just no cookies.
