I've wanted a bug for a while now. Would be fun to just putz around in on the weekends, I don't know why, but bugs are just fun little cars. Stupid simple and fun.

And they are going up in value, the older the better too. That will be a 10k car in not very many years, no doubt.

And I love 951s D, but I don't want that big a headache!

D my 944 is sorted too, but it still has the potential to break in a much more major way than a bug ever could. Different cars for different things. I'll still have the '44

Stijn!!

That old bug is likely cool. The link did not work for me. My brother has a 54 bug. It has gone up in price a lot. Of course he has had it since 1978. Remember it will not have AC so all summer it will be useless.

The catfish was real goooood. Glad I called in a togo order, they have only been open in the new location 3 days and there was a line out the door at only 5:30pm.

Sat and waited for my order for about 10 minutes. While I waited everyone that walked by smiled real big at me. Think it was because of my beard and Duck Dynasty was on last night, I know my fly wash't open...I checked, and I'm not THAT funny looking.

Evening Y'all,
Well Beth and I ended a very bad week by going out to dinner, I miss our dates out, we need to get back into that.
I am in discussions with the realtor to split up the property and have two listings. If I sell the lot that is pure profit since I own it. We may be able to move before we sell the house and still have one out west paid for. That would open us up for some more options here in Va. Like a rental or owner financing/rent to own.

The stuff I have hard wired is my TV, stereo, AppleTV in the living room and my Web, File, and Mail Servers in another room. The computer I use all the time is a laptop plugged into a 27" display and is on wireless.

Would like to move my servers to a different place, but want them hard wired and don't want to hassle with running the wires down the walls to put them where I want to move them. Besides the attic insulation makes me break out in a rash.

I didn't want to run cat5/6 everywhere either, the NP507s are a good solution at 600Mbps. I've got a WG602 WAP to connect to one of the 507s and stick down the other end of the house. Rendered cinder block does a good job of attenuating the wireless signal.

Ive got a bit of a convoluted wireless network going on, that has never really worked well from one end of the house to the other. It's got PC's, laptops, Ipads, Iphones/android phones, kindles, WDTV Live boxes all fighting each other for bandwidth. They all come back via wireless to a PC in the office that is connected to the Interwebs via a 3G mobile usb dongle. It's ugly to say the least.

After two years here, we've finally found an ISP that will give us a DSLAM port and we've signed up for a naked ADSL2+ with VoiP plan that'll also port our landline phone number to VoiP. Finally hitting this milleniums technology.

So, I decided to do a big restructure of the home network with a new Gigabit switch, the NP507s, and the existing WG602, and am also putting another WDTV box in the bedroom.

Now to come up with a new witty SSID for the WAP, I'm thinking 'nothintoseeheremoveon'

When I put in the video system for the alarm I ran three separate cat 5 cables into the attic. One of them is not hooked up on either end. I can plug it into my switch and have it hot up there. I figure I will put a second switch up there that is rated for summer heat. Then I can have wired connections anywhere. The wireless does fine as well. Lotsa options.

Did wireless in my nephews new 2 story house several years ago. All the studs in the house were metal, each room is it's own faraday cage...and the rock wall cutting the house in half of with the fireplace in it....talk about wireless nightmare. And he was off the grid for any kind of wired ISP. Put in two 2gig radio ISPs into a Mac mini running gateway software that shares the bandwidth between the two ISPs. Fed that into 4 wired Airport base stations for bridged wireless throughout the house. Works quite well.

Also set up his 6 kids each with their own MacOS server account so they could login to their own stuff on any computer in the house. That way they didn't have to fight over who was using which computer. It even worked well as the older kids got laptops with mobile server accounts so they could still get to their own stuff no matter which computer was available. Oh yeah, and my All-in-one color laser, it's neat to scan wireless to my laptop even though my Epson is a much better scanner.

My house is small enough that one wireless base in the middle where the main TV is does the entire house just fine. But the only things on wireless are my laptop, phone, iPad, and any guests that come visit.

My wireless is named Homey. I can only see 2 other wireless networks from my laptop right now....2wire134 and wevegotrats. My neighbors on either side of me say they turn theirs off when they aren't actually online because they are afraid someone will use their bandwidth. My had been open since I first set it up and I even told my neighbors to jump on if they want. I used to have some really hot rod 2 watt wireless routers I could see from my laptop a block away.
