The only problem is they are wide body wheels. 18x9et50 and 18.10.5et44

Would stick out from my fenders 1/2 inch. Fenders are aluminum so don't respond too well to heating and rolling out. Tend to snap back as they cool.

Since the wheels are 2 piece checking into what it would cost to have them re-barreled with normal widths and offsets.

They are the same wheels I had on my BoxsterS...

Good Night Glen...

Well heard back from Wheel Flip. Cost is $400 to $500 per wheel depending on whether they can keep the 2 piece wheels or have to make them 3 piece wheels.
The wheels are $950 refurbished like new. That adds up to $2550 for the set. 10 years ago I got a set new for my BoxsterS for $2500.

From looking out my windows I saw no evidence of the ice/snow around here either melting or evaporating even though it was a bright sunny day.

Not much melting on the areas that were not shoveled. It is 1 inch of fluffy snow on top of 1.5 inches of solid HARD sleet that makes difficult shoveling. The ice will break up if you slide the edge of of a shovel under part of it. It lifts up in small icebergs. Then a regular snow shovel will push it out of the way.

Thankfully it wasn't that cold here this morning when I walked the dog and when I walked to work. The commute wasn't too bad, as there were only a fraction of the people on the sidewalks this morning.

Good Monday, um Good Tuesday morning folks!

I did not leave my property for two days. That does not happen often. I made it into work today. The road crews have been busy. Just the residential streets and the less traveled streets are icy. I am smart enough not to travel my normal route to work. Normally I head south and drive the very hilly and rural road. That did not seem like a smart idea so I went toward the civilization and the roads were all clear for my commute.

Hey Glen, glad you went to work. My nephew just asked about what aerial photography place my friend worked at. Of course, don't know if that means he is going to call you or NOT call you.

Also recommended another friend that is a project manager consultant for big building and moving projects like Kimray is taking on with the new location. Haven't heard if they have even interviewed him yet.

So, the wheels I am looking at are in the UK. They are a set of wheels AND tires. The front and rear tires are not the same brand so going to see if I can get a better deal without the tires.

As I mentioned I hope they call. We almost never chase business. We learned long ago it is nearly impossible to sell aerial photography or mapping services to someone that does not think they NEED it.

It would be just like trying to sell me life insurance. There is no reason anyone can give me that makes sense to me to convince me I need life insurance.

Well the furnace was out yesterday for my lab and office. Maintenance are idiots and called someone in. Yesterday I worked in a 58 degree office. They still have yet to fix it and now my office and lab are 54 degree. Well, looks like I am going to hit up the mall and waste some time. If the office wants to know why I am not working, they can ask maintenance. At least go get me a space heater for my office. They told me that would accomplish nothing. Yet again, I can not stand the two boobs we have here on maintenance.
