I went to my favorite muffler shop today and had him make me a "Laguna" muffler exhaust tip. It will slip on and clamp in place with a hose clamp.

It only cost $25 and I hope it keeps me in good graces with the sound booth. It has to help.

I should be able to slip it on at the track and swap it for the stock tip. That is the plan.

evening all.

Evening Rick in 5hitsville Maryland. The drivers of southern Maryland aren't too bad, tailgating only if you are in the left lane on a dual carriage way, and it doesn't matter if you are doing 15 over the speed limit, doesn't appease them either, then they get in front and ......... slow down, for miles, not just to pi55 your off!

That sucks. They delivered you a bag of maggots instead of your lift?

OK, my turn with shipping woes. I ordered a floor lamp for our house a couple weeks ago. It just got delivered. But one of the boxes was slightly smushed. Unfortunately the lamp stand came out with a banana curve to it. Grrr.

Just sent off an email to the manufacturer (actually a company here in LA, but they're closed this time of the evening). So disappointed--I've been really looking forward to this lamp.

My parents ordered some stainless outdoor chairs and table a few years back and it arrived damaged. Parents tried to contact company, finally got an email back telling them that a return shipping label will be mailed out. Never arrived. Emails stopped being answered. Parents contacted Visa. In the end, they kept the chairs and table and Visa reimbursed them the $400.-. Dad fixed the issues and the stuff is still in use today.

Today on the way to my favorite muffler shop I had to drive through two little cities that are completely surrounded by OKC. The only way to know you are in a different city is to watch closely for the city limit signs or notice the speed limit. It drops to 25 in one city, and 35 in another city. No one local ever speeds. Both cities are know to have zero tolerance and will ticket you for one MPH over. I saw some dude in a car flying along at 10 over. It did not make it far. One city is called "The Village" not a village, but The Village. They have some Texas money now.

The house I grew up in was on the line between Oklahoma City, The Village, and Nichols Hills. When there was a domestic dispute across the street from us, and it happened often, all three police would show up.

I think that house was possessed. It started with the first owners. They would be normal people, then they would change. Domestic disputes, divorce, get all anti-socisl, drugs, fill the house with trash, then eventually get hauled away for drugs. Same thing happened to four couples. Oh yeah, all four couples the wife was a red head, AND 3 of the couples were somehow related to the original owner. It was very interesting to hear the new owners cursing as they hauled piles and piles of trash out of the house after first moving in. Saw the garage door open and it was piled to the ceiling and completely full of nothing but trash. Then a few years later they themselves were living in their own pile of trash just as full as the last time.

The only couple that didn't get messed up while living there was a couple that only stayed in the house during the week, fixed it up and flipped it.
They worked in the city and fixed up houses to flip during the week day evenings. They spent weekends in their house in the country. They kept a couple of dobermans in the houses they were flipping. One weekend a black guy broke into the house. He collected a bunch of stuff to carry out before the dobermans cornered him in a bedroom and didn't let him out of the corner until the owners called the police in. He had been there long enough that he had soiled himself. Bet he thinks that house is possessed too.

I dated a chick long long ago that lived in the very corner of Warr Acres. Her neighbor to the west was in Bethany and the neighbor across the street was in OKC. All three cities had different days for trash pickup. If she missed her trash pickup she could move her trash cans a few feet and the other city would pick it up. Her neighbors did the same thing.

When a water main started leaking in the street all the cities said it was the other cities problem. It leaked for over a year and just caused a big mess. Finally it blew big time and created a massive problem and all three cities were there working on it. That happened right after we started dating. She had to sleep over at my place for a while since she had no water.

My wife was telling me about some lady that works at the university where my wife works.

It seems the lady was cutting up an avocado and had it cut in half and was trying to get the seed out. Instead of using a spoon she was using the knife. It slipped and she felt it slice into her finger down to the bone. The lady said she knew she was in trouble and was home alone. She was trying to stop the bleeding and walked to the living room to get the phone. She passed out while walking to the phone, tripped ad fell and broke her ankle and whacked her head so hard she had a concussion. She woke up an hour later in a large pool of blood with a broken ankle. She crawled to the phone and that started the bleeding on the finger again. She called her husband to come home and unlock the door for 911.

The house looked like a murder scene.

She had to have surgery on her ankle, many stiches on her finger and go through rehab on he finger and hand. She did have a concussion and was in the hospital for a couple of days.
