Went to OKC Cars & Coffee this morning. Met up with a couple of 928 guys. Saw some old friends, made some new ones. Saw some old cars, some new ones, some cool ones, and some ugly ones. Just about anything you could think of was represented. Some for go, some for show, and some to have and hold and name George. s

Even this car was there...a Lucra, this exact car, serial number one.

Decided my car isn't loud at all. Talked to a couple of guys about tubbing a 928, going to air bags, fitting some 22s. and chopping the top. Really didn't like that they had to wait for the system to pressure up before they could drive off though. Kinda took some of the cool out of it.

Maybe if I started with a 928 that needed some body/paint work.

Did talk to a local guy that bought a 928 for $600. The previous owner thought the timing belt broke and crashed the valves. Turned out the tensioner loosened and the belt just skipped a tooth, no crash. What a deal!

Parrot or not it did have a big crowd around it all morning. I asked if everyone else was attracted to the florescent green like I was and got glared at by a bunch of guys and informed it was the serial number 1 Lucra.

Lanna broke her five month winter hiding and we ripped some mountain roads up (The Blue Ridge Parkway) and spent the day in Lexington. That is a beautiful town

Happy dance!!!! The bug is on the road! Tweeze and I went and cruised around for an hour or two! Fun stuff!

Now I just need to figure out how to adjust the steering. Replaced the rubber doughnut, still have a ton of play!

Didn't ask if the motor was the AMG, LS3, or LS7

There was also an Orange Ferrari, shoulda took a pic, never seen a Ferrari that wasn't red, yellow, or black.

LS7 would make sense since it is car #1 and the LS7 is the largest motor they offer.

Bought some used SSI's that got delivered yesterday. Need to do some work on them (I think) they're thick flange with the lip on them. Haven't measured them yet but I don't think
they'll fit in my exhaust ports. May be performing a lipectomy today.
