Waking from a pinch trance to find a cardboard tube is better than having a full load only to find the weather not even acceptable for an air drop.

Good Friday morning folks!

I finally drug my old home computer to the office yesterday. I built the thing 10 years ago and it was getting so slow it was silly. I replaced it with my total crazy stupid overkill monster machine. 32 Gig of RAM and a i7 3.5 GHz 6 core CPU does email and Quicken really fast

Anyway the old system was just in the way but it is hard to let go and KNOW that every file from every software package is transfered and the old system can go away forever. I fired up the old system and it came up to the opening XP screen and just locked up. Now I can't even get a BIOS screen to come up. If it was important I would fight with it and see what is wrong. I just yanked the hard drive out. I remember when I bought the hard drive I thought the drive was huge. It is a 80 GB ATA interface.

I will format it and deliver some clients job on it.

Morning Everyone!

The fur kid can't handle anesthesia very well. We had a puker on our hands last night. She is doing better this morning.

I have said for years that alarm clock manufacturers are missing a sure thing.

Instead of an conventional alarm bell or buzzer or music, just make a realistic dog about to puke sound. That will get the people out of bed RIGHT NOW.

Our last female dachshund would go out back and hunt down crickets and June bugs. There is a finite number of bugs a dog can eat and keep down. She never did figure out that outside is a better place to puke.

I certainly can't pick on that.

One thing on this weekend's agenda is to set up my condo for over-the-air TV (have a Leaf antenna) and set up my Roku 3 streaming player. If I like how it all turns out, I'm going to dump the TV portion of my Comcast service.

We cut our comcast chord a long time ago and just have their high speed internet. I was okay with $40/month of high speed internet, but that recently went up to $65 at the beginning of this year. I am currently shopping around for alternatives to dump the "Comcast Giant" altogether.

I look at my cable & internet bill and wince.

I could never go back to regular TV without a DVR. I set my DVR and record many interesting shows. The new Cosmos, and a lot of shows on Velocity, & Science.

And F1 racing! And the Rolex series & Contintential tire series.

My wife loves the sports package we have.

I can record movies off of HBO. And we have Apple TV.

I almost never watch the regular networks except the news and weather.

I watch only Netflix now and news. I was never a big tv person to begin with. I have too much going on and can never sit still for a long period of time.

Yeah, any more if I try to watch any kind of network TV show, I fall asleep a some point during one of the first 12 minute commercial break.

When I tried watching a series on Hulu the commercial breaks were just one commercial, BUT it was the same commercial over and over and over.

I am digging around in the pile of old computer parts we have around here.

I found one real treasure, a 6 GB hard drive. It works just fine. It is funny how little that is and how once I thought that was a a HUGE drive.

I found a 24 and a 60 gig drive as well.
