Morning gents & ladies.
A lot has been happening since we last talked. I got pretty much everything done on the Honey Do list for the wedding. I stopped being lazy and restarted P90X, I am on week 4. Getting a lot of energy back. Getting the rest of the wedding paid for, consolidated some debt and building savings back up to get a nice starter home for me and the future wifey. Hopefully we will be able to get into a home come October. Then the wedding is in December. Our Fur Baby is growing like a weed and well behaved. I couldn't ask for a better pooch. We just got her a kiddy pool to introduce her to the water and get rid of the fear from swimming.

The trifecta of control is to sneeze and fart while in transition from sitting to standing. Extreme Caution: Should only be done by professionals wearing the proper safety equipment.
You also do not want to sneeze while mid stream on a bomber run. At the least you will splash your butt with the jet assisted bomb release. If you are peeing the extra force will be very painful.

I have friends in Broken Arrow, OK and my sister lived in Washington, NC plus other travels I have been to almost all the states you Stijners live in. I have not been to Pete's state. All the states seem to seem to have areas that are pretty nice. The road from Butterfield Ranch to Julien is a better road than the tail of the dragon in my opinion. I have a friend that is a nurse in Alaska and wouldn't mind visiting, but not in the winter time. They leave the bulldozer running all winter or it won't start again until spring and have no power lines to where she is at, it is all generator power. She enjoys hunting and trapping and generally enjoys the lifestyle. She did miss indoor plumbing but then they remodeled her cabin so she doesn't have to share the loo with moose and bears.

I am curious, do you think this is the cause of my front end vibration?

I would say that it's a pretty likely culprit

Maybe. There's still a lot of good tread left.

Actually it didn't go flat very quickly. It happened about a mile from getting home a few years ago. I felt a vibration at about 60 and slowed down and then it let loose. I idled home on it and it went flat overnight. The blue streaks are a much better tire. I was glad one of the kids wasn't with me.
Jim, they have plenty of tread because they wear like iron and grip about the same. They only had 8k miles on them. The only thing good about them was they were very predictable.

Technically, they are a truck tire. They are cheap and as far as over the counter tires in 295/50/15 (for the rear) they are one of the few in that size and are one of the better. They just aren't a good fit having 550 pounds on them in the front. I think there was an Advan in that size that had better grip but those aren't made. I needed a speed rated tire anyway. Last time I cleared the cobwebs it was at 145 and pulling strong. With the local Shelby club they have track days at Road America and Blackhawk Farms. At RA there are three sections that are mostly straight and a mile long so I am sure it will get going faster than the 112 the BFG is rated for.

Several years ago I followed the Postal Runs like the Silver State Classic. That where they go 90 miles on public roads. The idea is to make the drive as close as possible to a specific average speed. There are several different speed classes based on the safety equipment and tires on your car. There are several speed traps and you are disqualified if you are clocked going too fast for your class. There is an open class that averages typically 175 to 180mph. There have been several horrific crashes with deaths of both the driver and navigator. The crashes are almost always tire failure.
I never drive my tires faster than their speed rating and without checking proper pressure for those higher speeds.

My Elky has 235-60-15s on it. I have them mount the raised white letter on the inside. I always thought white letters on a tire looked silly on my car. It is fine on some vehicles.
I am working on a typical historical job. The clients want two square miles of property in Nowata, county just south of the town of Lenapah. The one mile lines have dirt roads and there is one paved road going through one section. There is one mobile home, a handful of scattered barns and one house. Wow is it some boring stuff. Now I have to dig through the archives for the 1950s 60s, 70s 80s, 90s, 00s. and most current image. Ah well sometimes it is interesting to see the changes. Not much there now I can't imagine there was much there before.

These are the tires I have now. They have white letters on both side but that will scrub off if you want. I think they look good with in this case.

That one isn't mine, but you get the idea.
5k miles is a lot of driving in a short time. How many on a track?

I had an hour of track time and used 1/2 a tank of gas. I don't know how many miles I did on track. It was 4 - 20 minute sessions. It was a blast. The autocross is this weekend. I have a ton of things I need to do. I may miss the autocross to get caught up.

Evening Y'all,
Okay I live in a town with zero stoplights, maybe half a dozen stop signs and more cattle than people. Mayberry RFD. As for ever having a busy day Brent, the only days I have that are busy are the ones that end in Y.
