Evening Y'all. I will mow the yard this weekend, and will hate every second of it. When I was drinking I loved to cut the grass, sit on my butt, ride in circles and drink. Being sober, lawn work blows. I trim the place with a tractor, anything else gets fed brake fluid

My SoCal yard is pretty small, so it doesn't completely blow to do yard work. It also helps to have moderate temps and some sea breeze. When I lived in NoVA, it didn't matter how small the yard was, the heat and humidity made it feel like hell. Florida was even worse (than hell), hotter, more humid, and we had a bigger yard.

I had a broken plastic pipe nipple (no lube!) and broken thin-wall pipe at one sprinkler head. I found another sprinkler head buried about 3-4 inches underground, but still attached. I discovered that after I noticed a wet spot where it seemed like there was a big gap between sprinkler heads.

Tonight is Taco Tuesday! $0.99 tacos! Mmmmmmm.
I have many heads that have never been touched. More than have been adjusted or fixed. I way overbuilt and over designed the entire system. The main line is 1.5 inch and the laterals are all 1 inch. I installed a water well that is 220 volt 1.5 HP and delivers 18 gallons per minute. Every single head is a spray head, no rotaries. Way more work than I thought to do it but now all the years later I think I did it right.

Record breaking 94 with only 23% humidity. Tomorrow slightly cooler.

I was right interview a waste of time. Oh well at least I have a job.

I charge $5,000 per hour for sprinkler work. Just like photographing weddings or roofing work. And I work slow.

When I finished my system I decided I really don't want to do that again. Ever.

It was so nice outside this afternoon I had to wash the El Camino. The chance of rain is in the forecast all week but my car was filthy.

Ugh. Lady at the gas station told me it was 106 in Bakersfield today. Thank goodness I didn't take the 911. I think my dog panting on the back of my neck has more cooling power than the stock AC in that car.

The 944 was designed with comfort in mind.

Hey, I thought the 944 was designed with economy in mind and the 928 was designed with comfort in mind.

On my drive back from Monterey is was 54 when I left. Bakersfield & Barstow were "only 95 to 98" Needles was 108. My 911s AC struggled in the 108 temps. I could feel the heat coming in through the instruments. The dash was so hot I could not touch it for more than a few seconds. I never did get hot but I was not cold again until the temp dropped to 95 outside. I had to turn the temp up on the system then. It was nice to make the long climb up to Flagstaff and see comfortable temps.

It was 72 here this morning. Very pleasant.

Good Hump day, um wait. Hump day was yesterday at 5:00 PM since Friday is a holiday. Darn I guess we missed hump day.
