That would have me worried!

A visit from Darwin in these parts means you are removed from the gene pool.

No argument that most lenses are sharpest a few stops down from wide open. For fine detail with extreme enlargement there is a small difference. With a picture of the moon the difference is insignificant.

An interesting side note about the lens for our aerial camera: It is a 6 inch focal length (about 150mm) that covers a 9x9 negative. The lens weighs about 250 pounds and is huge. It has a built in rotating shutter.

This is not our particular camera but our is just like this one. The lens is the round thing on the right side. The circular handle is a removable cover used to remove the lens from the camera mount. It is a chore to lift it out. The film magazines hold a 433 ft long 9 inch wide roll of film.

The entire point of all of this is that lens is designed to be the sharpest and most accurate at wide open, F4.5 We virtually never stop it down to F8. The shutter speed adjusts automatically. It can be set to manual but that is pointless.

All we shoot is pictures of the ground.

The pilot just does not want to fly inverted in our 206 which is a good thing.

We do a lot more than just pictures of the ground.

And put a BB in her valve stem cap so you can help with the car again.

Dave, thanks. Now that the computer is back up I will grab a picture. The moon itself is good but where it borders space is weird. I play with the settings, but you don't notice until you are viewing it native size on the computer screen.

So, I've thought about setting up an anti-spam campaign.

The idea being that spammers are supported by the numbers they show potential clients of how many people they have click on their spam ads. And that most computer users just don't know to NOT click on the spam. These clicks are where they make their money, not actual product purchases.

I would set up a .org web site explaining this and collect donations to run TV ads like the Truth tobacco thing to inform people to NOT click on spam.

The site would also provide a list of companies and products to boycott because they are using spam to sell them.

It would primarily be aimed at email spammers.

Do you think it would make enough donations to create and run the ads?

My email address @zipbang.com, that I've had since 1991, bounces over 1 million spam messages a day according to my primary spam filter. And my secondary filter still catches 10 to 20 per day, with one or two a day making it to my actual in-box.

We have a group of Verizon iPhones. One of the staff blocked our number on one of the iPhones and the whole group blocks the number when they do that. Is there a way to disable number blocking or at least disable the whole group blocking numbers?

A spud (potato) usually works best.

but make sure you put it down the front and not the back.

All this time I thought a clean sock, rolled up was best.

That or an actual banana just in case someone asks, "Is that a banana or are you happy to see me?" you can say, "Banana."

Don't discount stuffing your shorts.

Back when in HS band a bunch of us all piled in a old Ford Falcon to get to and from the games. It was great fun and illegal now as if the alcohol wasn't back then. Anyway, there was enough of us that the girls sat on the guys laps. A bunch of quarters in my pocket started a year long relationship with the girl on my lap.
