Jeez. It's getting bad over there D. Did you have your hose rebuilt? You should be able to find someone local to do it for not too much. You can cut those crimp bands off with a did grinder or even dykes

apparently, you didn't read to the end of the thread. i did my own repair, posted pictures, and the posts just got better and better. totally ridiculous. like there are rainbow unicorn farts and pixie dust in the OEM part. which had a recall. and is prone to failure. and cracking. and costs $101 for a piece of hose and two fittings.

Rainbow unicorn farts? That's just crazy talk, it's Juju dust that takes a stank hooptie from ill to sick.

Did this ad for fun and they ran it in Excellence.

The rest is sharp. Any thoughts on how to fix that?
Shooting a full moon is trickier than a partial moon. For me, the bottom edge tends to be the brightest and blows out. The position and your location affects the moon as well. I find that in the greater L.A. area, shooting the moon when it's up high is best for clarity. Most of the atmospheric crap is gone or at least thin. The best shots are from high altitude (mountains), away from cities.

You really just have to play with the settings, mostly shutter speed. It's digital, so fire away! I do post process as well, so at times, I have shot at a faster shutter speed than one would like to see in camera, but after Photoshop, it's a lot brighter.

The above was shot at f11, 1/80, ISO 200. Pretty sure I also shot this from a parking lot around the corner from me that was lit brightly well the surrounding area.

Bumping the aperture up to f11 or f16 is better. Sweet spot for focus on almost all lenses, in the middle.

Sorry was busy earlier and didn't make it all the way through. Like I said in my post over there, we did the same thing on the M3 to a high pressure ps hose and it worked like a charm. I think you'll be fine D.

And I agree on that tech forum, it's gone to the ricers these days. I stay out of there...

I haven't been in there for donkeys ages either. I got bored with the same questions all the time. The answers are there but no one wants to do a little searching themselves.

BTW, it looked like a reasonable economical repair to me.

Was towards the end of a computer club meeting. Guy walked up and asked me where the exit was. I pointed and said right over there and almost immediately realized I had just pointed to the exit to show where it was and he was blind. Then said, "Sorry, bet you couldn't see which direction I just pointed." As I walked him to the door I showed depth of my insensative stupidity by offering to take him to his car.

One of the local famous artists in OKC is Greg Burns. He does great detailed line drawings with a brush held in his teeth. He is a great artist. His hands are deformed and he can only walk with difficulty. He was a regular customer of the place where I used to work.

My moment of of showing the depth of my insensitive stupidity was Greg came up to the front counter and I pushed the ticket over to him to sign for the work. DOH. He did not grumble or say anything but with difficulty he picked up the pen and held it in his flipper like hand and signed the ticket. Normally we did not make him sign a ticket since he placed the order and picked it up himself. We knew he would mail a check.

I did carry the order and the original to his car for him. He could drive with a special modified car.

Good Thursday morning folks.
