Have had no puppy accidents in the house since I started leaving the back door open enough she can get out. Think it was a matter of bladder control instead of knowing where to go. She suddenly yelps, then runs outside and uses the potty. Even when she is outside playing she will suddenly RUN to the area in the yard she uses and go.

Afternoon guys... Finally figured out that new carb for the bug is NFG. The old one will still run it but it leaks like a MOFO. Time to find a rebuilder and see if they can make it stop that!

I have a wheel horse rototiller from the 70's that the carb bowl leaks. No parts available. Since it still runs good, just put a gas shutoff in line so it can only leak the bowl dry. JB weld did not stop it.

Just tried to start my mower to mulch leafs. It's guaranteed to start on the second pull. It doesn't at all. But I don't think their guarantee would be good for it setting for 4 years, even though ran it dry last time I ran it.

This leaks around the throttle shaft, while its running. Kind of a fire hazard!

All joke aside Sid, pack it up and ship to me, I can have the shaft bushings replaced in it and overhaul it

Yeah, it's not like a carb fire on an old rototiller is going to be much of a big deal. Probably just make it run better.

our dog, trudie, barks and pisses me off. i need to figure out how to train her to bark on command.

When you catch the dog doing the behavior say the command you want to use, then praise and reward with a treat. Most people use speak for barking. Since I trained Camber to speak english, I used bark for barking.

The way I taught Camber to speak english was when i was first training her to rollover. Instead of rolling over she barked at me and it sounded like rollover so I praised her for it and then kept it up. Then started only praising when it sounded more like rollover. Had to change the command to actually rollover to Can You Rollover. Next was I want it, then I want out. Then Anonther One for treats after the first one. Wasn't too long before What do you want, Tell Me or Speak got and english response.

To my first golden speak meant bark. She would bark to get my attention, then I would go through the the list of things she might want and she would bark or speak again when I got to the one she wanted. Also if I was asleep, to wake me up she would start very very softly then slowly increase the volume until I woke up. When she barked at someone coming to the door, I would say "who is that." Wasn't long before say who is that would put her on alert to see if someone was outside. If she heard some and started barking I would excitedly say Attack. Then she would go on alert and bark softly if someone was there, but only go into a barking frenzy if I said attack.

My first golden was very very eager to please and usually I only had to show her something two or three times and she would do it on command. Camber was terrible. Not only did I have to train most commands hundreds of times, if I stop using the command she would forget it. Even then, she had her own agenda and mostly only responded to commands that weren't immediately rewarding to her when and if she wanted. So far, Pepper is somewhere inbetween.

My Doberman from back in my single days was a dog that every trainer would want as a dog to use in a training video. She learned my wishes quickly and was always eager to please me. Her one big flaw was she went stupid and deaf if she spotted a cat in a tree 4 back yards away. She was single minded in her hate for cats and I could not break her of it.

It was 78 here yesterday. It is going to be a little cooler today, only 64 for the high.

There was only one time Penny, my first golden went nuts. I actually took her to a local big fireworks display. She was absolutely fine until the grand finale, then she bolted. Hit the end of the leash so hard it broke and I was chasing her down the sidewalk. Just as she approached a car packed with Mexicans opened a rear door and she dived in. I never saw so many people get out of a car so quickly. It was hilarious, kinda like a clown car emergency evacuation. By the time I got to the car the finale was over and Penny was back to normal. The Mexicans were all as confused as could be. Penny was not guy shy.

We live close enough to a local amusement park that we can hear their fireworks displays they do in the summer months. Most of the colorful fireworks are not that loud but they do throw in the few loud bright white boomers. Our dogs seem to just ignore it like thunder.

Like I said, Penny was fine with the fireworks AT the display, including the loud ones. Right up until the grand finale, then she freaked.

Our first lab was was eager to please and learned quickly. The current lab learns quickly only if it has to do with retrieving. The beagle learns if we have food. Or anything that might be regarded as food.

I was looking at the bags because I don't want to put a bipod on Emily's 30-30 and we have a gun shoot coming up with some distance targets. She doesn't have enough practice yet to hit the 8x10 steel at the long range. She can hit them at 100 yards with a basic rest, but off hand needs some work. Those same targets are revolver range for me.

We have taught her to wrap the sling around her elbow for support off hand or to wrap is and use a knee when dropping to one knee.

I have heard a few people have issues with their scopes with using a lead sled.

I have one of those silly monotone english horns on the Cobra. It is more effective just to rev it than beep the horn.

Was out in an unzipped jacket and boots Saturday when we took the kids to the local big sledding hill to practice on the snowboards. I did have to put gloves on for the snowball fight.

I really hate to say this......but have you had her try the exaggerated Costa c clamp grip?
I don't think it would work for an adult with a lever gun, but with a peep site and small hands she should clear the sight line and gain a lot of stability.

It's a pretty stable grip....just not the fastest or most ergonomic.

Why do you hate to say it and can you clarify or post a pic of that style grip?

She is about 5'2 and 116#.
