There used to be a cartoon 'The Wizard of Id' I think it was called. It had a character called Spook. Funny cartoon.

'Black cnut' would be considered derogatory yet 'white cnut' is not? I could never figure that one out and I couldn't count how many times I've been called one (mostly on the footy oval although more recently just walking around town minding my own business).

Mental health day.
I usually wake up in a neutral mood but today I woke up looking for a fight, I really feel the need to be violent, and I have no idea why. I slept well, my stress level is down, I just feel like kicking a pile of puppies.
I am staying home today and will have no direct interaction with people. The last time I woke up in this mood I was sent home from work for going after one of the sales guys, in my defense he is one of those who really needs an attitude adjustment and I was told by many people they wish I would have taken a couple (dozen) swats at him.
I hate days like this, thank (insert deiety) they don't come very often

Howdy folks!

I normally prefer to mow my yard in the morning of a weekend day. It looks like tonight after work is the night. My wife started to insist I fertilize the yard a couple of weeks ago. I told her it was stupid to do it shortly before we go on vacation. So now the yard is growing as a crazy rate. It is supposed to rain Friday and all weekend and the first part of the week. I sure can't let it grow that long. So tonight is mowing time. Oh joy. The yard is thick and GREEN and will look like a jungle after we get back from vacation. I told her so but that does not help much.

Beth mentioned something along the lines of fertilizing the yard once, I gave her "that look" and reminded her that the grass here grows in Feb, and the last thing I would want to do is encourage it t grow, combine that with the fact that in the last thirty years she has used lawn equipment exactly zero times, the grass has remained on it's own with no help growing from me.

I don't run, I was born before jogging was invented.
I never really liked running even though I was stupid fast.
When I played football my primary position was defensive end but I also played tackle. I was 230 and ran the 40 in 4.4 seconds. I could best half the running backs and all the tight ends, and yet I still hated running
