Get off my lawn!
|
Good morning everyone.
Right now I am leaning toward these: Pelican Parts - European Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche • BMW • Mercedes • Volkswagen • Audi • Saab • Volvo • MINI The ones on top. I just to verify that the offsets are what will let me run a 225/45/17 Front - 255/40/17 Rear If I am going for new wheels why not get the most tire width possible on the ground.

Those will fit nicely Glen. The offsets are made for SC and Carrera. The only issue you may run into is the 225 in front and rubbing.

That's not mine Jim. I only had 16s on my SC. I did have to roll the DS front inner lip with 205/55 but it was much lower than Glen's.

I read through most of the Lina Corsa thread. Some folks had to put in negative camber to make the tires fit. Many had to roll the fenders. I started a thread in the technical area and Steve Wong replied. I like his thinking!

Our dogs disappeared from the living room last night for a long time. When I went looking for them Reuben had a mouse "treed" between the rain barrel and the brick wall of the house a foot from the garage door. He could not get to it but it was trapped. I helped him out using a long screwdriver and I flipped the mouse onto the ground right to him. He nailed it in a heartbeat and started munching. It was too big for him to swallow whole but he had no intention of letting it go. Mrs Carrera came out to hold him and I went to get a treat. He sniffed the treat and I could almost hear him thinking, is a mouse in the mouth I can't swallow worth a sure thing treat. He spit out the mouse and went for the sure thing.
![]() I could not have killed the mouse by myself without doing damage to the house or the rain barrel. It was for sure a full grown mouse and large. I have found several mose turds in the garage but so far they have eluded the mouse traps. They could not get past the biological detector! Good BOY!

One of the many benefits of having a dog that was originally bred for hunting. Our little dog is a beagle with some dachshund in him. His nose is always going.

Pepper brought me a little baby toad last night. Despite the fact she had been carrying it around, it was alive and unharmed. Think they call that a soft mouth.

Our previous lab was like that. The world was a buffet for her. The new one on the other hand...
What is is with teachers these days. Ever since kindergarten our daughter has argues with a teacher about something that they are wrong about and will not admit it. From Mercury being the hottest planet (1st grade) to how strip mining is done to armed helicopters (6th Grade). Emily argued so much with the one teacher who said helicopters weren't developed until the late 60 and weren't armed until after the Viet Nam war that the teacher made Emily do a paper on helicopters. She got an A and a teacher she didn't get along with very well after that. At least she doesn't take what the teachers say at face value unless they have something to back it up.
