Waking up to 55 this morning yeah Imma lovin' that.
When I fire up the boiler my house gets very warm, since the hot water pipes run under the floor and through the walls. It heats the house and not just the living areas.

The summer storm season is definitely active this year. More showers this evening - it'd be nicer if it cooled things down a bit.

I loaded the woodburner Friday night and haven't touched it since. By the time I get home from work today, I might have to start another fire to get it back into the 70s (currently about 68 degrees indoors). Perfect weather all weekend in December in Northern Ohio ?

Well, I've been a Dad for 12 years today. The boy's birthday is today although we got together with family yesterday.
Of course, my daughter's final gymnastic recital it today, too. Son's was already complaining about it being on HIS birthday. Oh,for fuchs sake!

At age 12 one's birthday is supposed to be the special day for him only. Most kids don't mind doing presents early, but never late. They still want to be the center of attention on their day.
By age 29 many people don't want anyone else to even know about their birthday. By age 60 no one cares much at all.

It is bad enough having a birthday close to Christmas.
I was born in Novemebr and received many presents that were "combo-birthday and Christmas" presents. My brother was born in July and NEVER had a joint present. It is a ripoff for kids born near Christmas when they are at the age of gimmie gimmie.

Remember getting invited to a birthday party when I was 3. The little girl was 4. She was embarrassed because she got underwear for her birthday and I was the only other kid at her birthday party. The adults of course, passed all the presents around thinking it was real funny. She did end up getting a nice doll she wanted though.

Sid-my oldest sister and my middle sister have always just tolerated each other for whatever reason.
When the oldest had her child, it was on the middle's birthday. Talk about karma. She told us she begged the doctor to wait until after midnight so it wouldn't be that date.

Oh man, getting underwear or socks was the worst present ever for me. I wanted toys, not socks!
Every Christmas my brother and I received socks, underwear and clothes and it was just something to rip into and unwrap and then throw aside. Mom knew it looked better to have a big pile of presents. (Yea, I was horribly abused with loving parents, a safe place to live, food to eat and parents that loved me but mean parents that provided socks and underwear as presents) I still feel the same way. I can get socks myself. I want toys! Of course my toys are way to expensive to get as a present.

I buy my toys but I never bother to wrap them up. My new wheels should be in soon. Merry Christmas to me!
