Oh boy, I get to be the help desk this afternoon...and Everybody just went home for the week! Don't make sense to me, just happily do what they ask. No calls since 10:30 this morning.

The new network guy messed with the VPN router early yesterday. Now when I log into the VPN to do my work, Outlook on my PC won't connect to Office365. Good thing I've got VMware Fusion and am running two separate virtual PCs, one for Outlook and one for VPN stuffs. The clipboard even copies and pastes between them.

I got the driveshaft support bearing and new u-joint installed with issue today. $58 for the parts.

It's Friday.

Wifey and the management team are doing a cookout for the employees so she will go in at 2am and then again for 1st and 2nd shift.

I'm making spaghetti for supper but used Italian sausage instead of burger. Shhhh, don't say anything or they won't eat it.

Acadia was pretty.
We made it to Bethel, Maine. We are staying at a very outside the box (for us) place. Downstairs is s pub and restaurant. We are upstairs in the room with a king size 4 post bed and this is an OLD sorta fixed up place. The floorboards creek and the floor is not real level.

Whoo TGIF. OH WAIT. I have had a week of Saturday's. Never mind.

Tomorrow we meet up with Pete. Just a few miles away but the average speed is 40 to 45.

The worlds tallest snowman was built here in town. I never want to see that much snow.

Good beer. Funny name.

Yeah, personally, if I had built something like that I would NOT have called it a snowman. Fell like it either needs to be the traditional 3 balls configurations or maybe a snow sculpture that looks like an actual human. Plopping two eyes and a carrot nose on a pile of snow does NOT a snowman make.

An yes the genre is called snowman. Not snowwoman, changing the names of things for political correctness can go to hell. My mail is delivered by the mailman or postman (man or woman), not a letter carrier. And especially not a postal worker, they go killing sprees. If you don't like being called a mailman or postman, get a job at Fedex or UPS.

When I was the Art Director for a monthly publication we had a story about the right of manhood ceremony in an African Tribe. It told how the boy must go face down and kill a lion to become a man. When I got the story back from the proof reader she was offended and had changed to story to be gender neutral. Told her she had majorly changed a historical recounting of what actually happened and in that tribe women were not hunters and did not go thru the right of manhood ceremony. She didn't care and tried to stand her ground in the name of political correctness. She got fired for being stupid.

Stijn!!

We are up. We slept in later than any other day this week. We just go downstairs to get breakfast. Then head over to meet Pete at 10:00 PM. He will show us the way to Mt Washington and some other points of interest. Then on into Jay Peak.

And that snowman thing is funny shaped but it is just a bunch of snow. To make it solid enough to stand it had to be a shape like that. It is 10 or 12 stories tall.
