No. That guy is cool too. He is a heart surgeon and I don't want to ever need his professional services. He has some great stories about working as a SCCA corner worker at many different tracks. Different nice guy docs that drive a 911. We have several in the club. Of course yet another one has a 991 and a Cayman GT4.

Thanks Glen.

There has been some new ideas in Autism diagnosis and this guy is supposed to be one of the best in our area regarding the new ways to test people.

I tell ya what. I'm glad we have good insurance as these guys are not cheap.

Better diagnosis and testing means better abilities to make the kids more normal?

We had a couple autistic boys in our Scout troop. They were a hand full. And that was being out in the country camping where you could just basically let them run wild and have a good time. The first couple of camping trips the Dads would come with us. After that, guess they figured their boys were safe because they just dropped em off and picked em up like the rest of the boys.

Thinking back on it our old scoutmaster must have had a heart of gold. He was retired from a medical disability from working at Tinker AFB. He took over the troop for his grandson had been in a car wreck and was severely disabled. His entire right side was gimped up and he had epileptic fits. Troop was half normal boys and the other half were mentally or physically challenged. He took us camping all the time and most of the time he was the only adult. That was a LOT of work for a retired old guy. The first thing you had to do in our troop was get your first aid badges. Later I read an article where his grandson had made it eagle scout, had taken over the troop and was petitioning the council to change requirements for a lot of the badges so handicapped kids could earn them.

Hey if they can sell sheep as poodles in Japan you should be able to have your own pygmy goat terrier.

Ah ha ha ha...
After Pepper eats her bowl of food she always comes over to me and gives me kisses.
After eating her lunch today when she came over to give me kisses she burped.
I immediately told her "Good Girl" and gave the command to burp and I burped.
She burped again!!!
Praised her and gave the command again and she made a short growling sound that sounded almost just like a burp.
Pretty impressive. We repeated that several times.
When you can get them to try to imitate the sounds you make, you can teach them to talk!

Figure if she ever figures out how to burp when she doesn't have to it is going to be hilarious!!

Going to also see if I can train her to bark at people when they fart.

Ummmm, you have looked at the stunning 930 you have, haven't you?

Autism can be variations of symptoms on "the spectrum". Say that like Doug Henning and you'll get it. It's the new buzzword and I hate it.

We are hoping that these new tests will tell us exactly where my son is on "the spectrum".

He may end up having another med change or going to no meds at all. Some of the things he does is because he is 12YO and pushing boundaries like we all probably did at that age. Others are due to the way he is wired which is different than most.

I don't want to get into a game of how hot and humid it is here or there but you likely don't know what hot and humid is. We are approaching Savannah, GA weather. It is supposed to be 99 degrees and over 50% humidity. The heat index is predicted to be 110 or so. I just go from air conditioned building to air conditioned car to air conditioned house.

Last night I cooked steaks on the grill. The good news is with the two ceiling fans on the back porch and the breeze it was not too bad.

The neighbors to the east of us are having a pool installed. The neighbors to the south of us are have a new deck installed. I see the construction workers packing up and going home about the time I get home. That would be some hot and sweaty work.

Mertnin

Pepper gets go to the groomer today as well. Like any female, she loves it.

My last golden, Camber trimmed her own nails. Pepper does not.
However, Pepper does keep herself very clean when in heat like Camber did.

Wish me luck, on the way home I'm stopping by to check on the 928.

It's not Southern hot/humid but for MI it is.

I've worked in conditions worse so it doesn't bother me. The inside of a semi trailer is a big sweatbox with no ventilation.

We're supposed to get storms tonight. Hopefully, they don't fizzle out like they have so far.

We've tried to cut is nails and it's just easier to pay $10 for them to do it.

He can't get up into my ta-ruck any longer so I had my wife drive that and she left me the van. I still have to help get his rear end in but it is feasible.

He's 14 and his hips are getting bad. He gets glucosamine daily which helps but still..

Have a niece whom her and her family lives here in Edmond. She has 8 kids. Even though they live in Edmond city limits that is not supposed to allow it they have a flock of chickens to reduce the cost of eggs. She posted on facebook yesterday that she is excited about getting raw milk straight from a local dairy. It's $5.50 a gallon!

My great uncle and his brother used to have a dairy. He tells the story of all their customers just one lady wanted raw milk. They ran out of raw milk bottle caps so they just put a regular pasteurized cap on her raw milk just once. Said the lady called them and complained and complained about not getting her raw milk. Then he says after that they just put a raw milk caps on their regular pasteurized milk for her. She was happy as a lark and never complained again.

Wonder if my niece knows what she is getting into with raw milk?

My other sister adopted her 7 Grandkids because her son is a total loser.

Anyway, she lives on a farm with chickens, a cow, and pigs. They raise them to have eggs and food.

Her Mama pig had 4 piglets yesterday. Just about every comment on FB was "Bacon!".

Bought the house I'm living in now because my Brother with MS was living with us. Took months of looking to find one that was accessible. It doesn't have a step to get in the front door from the driveway and the hallway is 48inches wide instead of just 36. I still had to put special hinges on his bedroom door and grab handles throughout the bathroom. Guess I can take the handles off the toilet now. And get rid of them and the beside commode.

Mechanic is on vacation this week. The motor looks all back together with in intake and wiring on it, but in the back of the rebuild area with two other motors half apart on stands in front of it. Was told the transmission seal was replaced, but the exhaust, torque tube, and tranny look untouched to me. Starting to loose some of my patience. Getting very tired of hearing "we plan to have your motor back in by the end of next week." It has been in his shop since March of last year and he didn't start tearing it down until November. It has been 7 months that the motor has been out. And have hear the end of next week for 3 months now.
